The girls have been told to be there at 5.15pm. So i gather it is still a 6.00pm kick off.

its disappointing to see that that win is what the majority of the girls worked towards this season. almost a year of training to play against tassie. i know its better than nothing....or is it?

I sincerely hope that the state of womens football in aus is changed quick smart. I know from personal experience how heartbreaking it is to work so hard for so long and give so much of ur time and effort to not be rewarded. All these girls want to do is play. They are not after money or any other incentives

We brag that that game of football is regarded as the "world game" yet there are people blocking the path of its development. shame on those

Congratulations on all the hard work of the coaching staff, general staff and players for this season. May your efforts be rewarded in the not too distant future

Adelaide Sensation Stamp their Authority on the Errea Women’s Invitational Challenge

In the first game of a two match series, Adelaide Sensation were in formidable form as they beat Tasmania 11-0 in the Errea Women’s Invitational Challenge held at the home of Adelaide Blue Eagles Soccer Club, Marden Sports Complex. Tasmania, who by their own accounts, are here to learn, develop and to see what it is like in the real world, were no match for the fire power of Adelaide Sensation.

Within the first five minutes Adelaide Sensation took lead due to a Tasmanian own goal, this then set the scene for the Vicki Balomenos show, who compiled four goals prior to the half-time break. Her deadly finishing illustrating why she is a Young Matilda and a future Matilda player, with Tasmania having no answers to contend with Vicki’s speed as she tore through Tasmania like a whirl wind.

In the second half, Tasmania continued to battle away but could not stop the wave upon wave of attacks by Adelaide Sensation. Within two minutes of the second half, Vicki Balomenos added another goal to her collection, with her fellow forward Marajana Rajcic, also adding to the total. Adelaide Sensation then added three more goals through a Christina Papageorgiou double and another sleek finish by Vicki Balomenos. Vicki Balomenos capped off an astonishing goal scoring performance, scoring in the 90 minute to take her tally for the game to seven.

Although Tasmania was no match for Adelaide Sensation on the night, they gained the respect of everyone who was in attendance for their sheer tenacity and never say die attitude. Tasmania will now prepare for their second encounter against Adelaide Sensation to be held on Friday 30 November at Marden Sports Complex – 7.15pm ko.

Match Details:

Full Time Result: 11-0

Half-Time Result: 5-0

Goal Scorers: Vicki Balomenos – 17min, 33min, 35min, 45min, 47min, 65min, 90min, Christina Papageorgiou – 61min, 76min, Marajana Rajcic – 59min and Own Goal – 5min

Witnessed last nights match, and thought Vicki wasn't the only one to score one or two good goals, Papa had a few crackers but went unnoticed!! A total of 7 goals is easy to praise when it is all that is talked about in a match report, after watching the game it's safe to say with an 11-0 victory a bag probably should of been scored by a forward.. in saying that, that opposition could of made any player (striker) look good and stand out! the question is, could a player like Vicki score when it counts?? - its not necessarily the quantity .. it's scoring when matters!!

SA 9 - 0 Tasmania (3-0)

A re-arranged formation and starting line-up saw SA start slowly but got into rhythm int he second half. Well done to all of the players.

A big thankyou to Tasmania for honouring their commitment and putting in their best efforts over the 4 games they played.
For the Game. For the World.

How are you doing?

I only seen half of one of the games as they clashed with other things.
Worth it for the girls because they got to play something after training for so long - better than just ending.
Also beneficial for tasmania as they can see a level for a standard to which if they want to be competitive must get themselves 2.
I didnt play so it had no personal effect on me. But it was better than nothing.

some of the time playin a bad team is beneficial coz it can teach a team how 2 keep its shape no matter wat is happening. also its a gd disiplne thing to try n keep the tempo even tho its a poor standard

krazy...im not blind, ive been in the womans game longer than you, and if you think that a 11-0 thrashing is beneficial for tasmania then you should run for president of USA the last few years of the national league were did SA finish......bottom so its beneficial to tassy cause if they played anyone else they would have got flogged 20 or 25 nil.......??????????

I dont care how long uve been around - maybe uve been around so long u should move on ..? - Its beneficial as they can see A standard that they have to get 2. - As for national league results sensation were once dominant - and had a young average team than other states when they werent - also its not that long ago that we had state teams winning national championships - like i said .. ITS A STANDARD TO BE COMPETITIVE - COMPETITIVE not DOMINANT ..

why dont you move on , i voice my opinion if you dont like it STIFF crap. and to tell me to move on of your happy with average performances they maybe you should move on and say hi to VK and MK for me next time you see them at training you fool :D so would metro rather be competitive or dominant???? ask your coach
