love all the excuses going around management, foreigners, lack of development.....blah blah blah

England have always been crap no skill, no flair, no idea on how to defend, crap keepers (barring the old guy from the 80's) tactically stupid, poor physical condition, one dimensional going forward. The only thing they've got is they have a crack at it, well normally anyway.

But as long as the keep finding scapegoats they'll keep making the same mistakes.

They got their backsides served to them on a platter by a Harry Kewell lead Australian team and what was the excuse then....."just a friendly" yeah right a friendly between England & Australia pfft.

No Englishman has made a major impact in any League outside the EPL as a coach or player.

England you offer nothing but increase beer sales and security costs when it comes to football.

Oh well at least they can holiday to the Mediterranean and get their nice lobster red sun tans over the summer

Spot on 97. English football has been rubbish for year. Over rated. They have achieved very little in Europe or the World Stage in a very, very long time but they continue to say they are the World leaders in football. The Premier League is rubbish and boring. The league may be very quick but provide no skill or tactics to win games. It is simply long balls, down the wings and crosses. That style of football may have won a World Cup in 66, but we are in 2008 and other European Football manager have the smarts to beat that game. The Poms have one good thing going for them, great marketing of there league, because everything else about it is crap. I just wish those English supporters would take off there winging goggles and see there game for what it really is.

Well done to Croatia, they certainly have made there country men proud in the little short time they have been on the football scene.

From I am lead to believe no UK teams made Euro 08, is this correct?

Croatia played a great game without fear, balls to feet or into space. They could of scored more were as England played long to ofetn and lack a short game around the box. They didn't get numbers forward to often either.

The supprising thing for me was at 2 nil and even at 2-1 the England fans were quite. No singing at all which is what they needed to be doing to lift their side. It was only at 2-2 that they fired up. The English fans normaly back their teams to the last, but not today.

Totally dominated the poms at home winning 2-0, and then having already qualified defeated them again 3-2 at Wembley.

A massive population, billions pumped into the sport, one of the best leagues in the world and schooled twice in one qualifying campaign by the mighty croats...

Agree that England are too overrated and IMO theyre not even in the top 25 sides in the world. people blaming McLaren the fact is that the players arent as good as everyone thinks they are.

but apart from the croats no one is giving croatia the respect they deserve. they are a very good side and Im putting $$$ on them to win the Euro next year. This croatia team could really go a long way.
