WANTED: Adelaide Sensation Trial Matches
Moderators: BillShankly, John Cena, Forum Admins
I think it was mentioned in here a few weeks back that the tournament would end up being:
Sensation A playing Sensation B playing Young Sensations playing Emerging Sensations.
Not too far off!
Women's soccer in SA is like a box of chocolates. You never know what to expect.
p.s Aren't there people getting paid big $$$$$ to take care of this stuff?

Hello Shorty
How have you been? Working hard?
Interesting to read all the stuff on here. Unfortunately its a sad state of affairs. There are people out there in women's soccer world who are charged with lookimng after and progressing the game. And its stagnated. Been a long in between drinks and some answers are needed. As in the industry I work in, I can only hide behind stats for so long after that my dept. expects progress and results.
After 7 years in the women's game its a bit of a broken record. Frank Lowy needs to come to Adelaide. The players like you deserve better.
Catch you round the traps.
Cheers

Its a Beautiful Things
I believe that cost was a main issue for act and vic.. some of the players would be paying $1500 to come.. also some of these players have been to state/schoolgirls etc.
This in mind though it is quite disgraceful that they pulled out at such short notice as referees, venues, etc. have all been sorted but we cant do anything about it

Maybe they just wanted to be nice and said yes but to pay all that money for a comp that really means FA I can see why. Sorry Krazy but the proof is in the pudding

SO REALLY - its the teams that pulled out to blame
If they weren't lying, then they were telling us false information, leading South Australia and Tasmania on. Which in my interpretation is the equivalent of lying.
It's amazing how Tasmania can still afford to come up to Adelaide when I'm sure, the cost of plane flights are more expensive than that of ACT and Victoria. Just shows which states are more dedicated to the sport.

I'd be asking your coaches to explain if this tournament was smoke and mirrors on SA's part but in actual fact the other State's never ever committed to coming over.
If I were you I would probably look at this from an outisders perspective and start doing the sums. Its too easy to blame someone who is not able to defend themselves.

Its simple- ACT and Vics cancelled last minute so therefore they are at fault!! not too hard to understand.. whether or not you know all the facts or none.. its simple!!
polite?? Sure pal!! S.A didnt hold a gun up to their head and say come or else.. was something that was organised while national league wasnt up and running!! this comp was suggested to all states in the absense of national league and those states interested put their hands up.. was never a compolsory thing!! no excuse for the 2 states to pull out last minute!! look at w.a.. they pulled out after saying yes in the 1st place, is it that state we have the issue with? - no because they had the courtesy to inform the other states in advance!!

Oh what a tackle!!

Adelaide Olympic's Stephanie Ladas is a very promising player and has done well to make the Young Sensation squad. From all reports she has been training very hard and is developing quite nicely along with the other fourteen year old Ruth Wallace from South Adelaide. What are your thoughts Mrs Trainer?
United we stand
Well united my thoughts (not that they count for much) on all the girls out there are that SA has a very bright future.
These girls were picked because they do have skill and love the game of soccer/football and are committed to trying to get as far as they can.
If anyone wants to see how skillful some of these girls are then come on down to SASI Monday and Wednesday night to see them take on Tasmania at 6pm.
