AC Milan ace Kaka has warned Italian football their stars will leave in droves if they cannot clean up the game.
"Italian football is losing credibility," Kaka told Gazzetta dello Sport. "We need to take action immediately or the sport could die.

"The scandals, the dead police officer and now the dead fan. Stop it now or the champions will leave one after another."

ROME - (ANSA) On his arrival at the Italian FA's headquarters in Rome for a federal meeting, Inter president Massimo Moratti praised the initiative of Atalanta president Ivan Ruggeri, who distanced himself from violent fans with a statement signed by the whole team.

Moratti said: "Yes, it's an example. This situation forced him to do it and I think he did well to hold out because it was a dramatic event the other day.

"The relationship with the Curvas is the same all over Italy. We respect the fans when they behave like fans, and less so when they don't."
