with all the troubles in Italy at the moment I think it will bring the squad closer together

Yes it will. If we draw in Scotland, we would just need to ensure we beat the Faroes on Wednesday.

My prediction is 0-0 or 1-1. Can't see a winner coming out of it.

Really? Because I'm worried it would have the opposite effect.

In 2006 the world was criticising Italy as a nation. Comments flying left, right and centre attacking the character of Italians. Which unified the squad.

However this time it's from within, a death is involved and the fans are running amok. Personally I reckon it would dampen the spirits but it just depends on how distant the players are towards the fans. Add in the historic factor of Italy not qualifying for Euro 84 and I've got zero confidence about this game.

I'm hoping for a positive result but I'm more nervous about this than Italy's knock-out phases in 2006.

Hopefully with a bit of luck we can pinch a goal and then finish them with a counter. So 2-0 for Italy.

It will be a draw with the scots either 0-0 or 1-1,
And the frogs to beat the ukraines.

However I would love for the frogs to lose to the Ukraines, then Scotland (who deserve qualification) and Italy will both be Through to the Finals in 2008.

hard to see scotland scoring against italy and harder still to see italy go hammer and tongs for a win when all they need is a draw...
