Don't like the mix up of the squad and the lead in has been far from ideal.
Bonera, Oddo, Panucci, Camoranesi, Perrotta, Zambrotta and Iaquinta have had minimal game time leading into an important game against a Scotland which has nothing to lose and a home crowd behind them.
Buffon, Cannavaro, De Rossi, Gattuso, Pirlo & Toni pick themselves.
Probably would have to give Barzagli & Chiellini a start in defence.
Camoranesi is a good option off the bench. Any of the 6 other strikers would be fine alongside Toni but Iaquinta has impressed as a substitute since his comeback from bronchitis. I'm surprised Rocchi didn't get a call up.
Could be an upset on the cards but I'd expect Italy to grind out a result with the game in the balance until the final whistle.
Pity Materazzi didn't recover in time, qualification would have be guaranteed![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

I bet you love the mix up of the Argentinian squad. Cambiaso, Cruz, Crespo, Zanetti, Samuel, just to name a few.

75% count the Italians,
15% Copy and paste a TV guide from another internet site,
10% Yeah Juve. Go team go.
If your happy with Donadoni taking 7 players that have barely played 90 minutes in the past month and 7 strikers into a must win qualifier and can't see any reason to be nervous about it, I'd say ignorance is truly bliss.
Regarding Inter's contribution to the national team, it's very significant. All Donadoni has to do is watch all of Inter's games, any Italian that can perform against Inter is good enough to play for Italy.

crap squad... although if he plays with Toni leading the line and the Quail and Christmas in behind it would suffice... we need to go out and get the goal early against the Scots, shut the home fans up and be able to defend as we do so well.
but wat a time for the police in italy to go stoopid, fucking crap preparation for the squad, only make the scots mroe confident.

he's really got a point there nedved... all you do is bag Inter and wait for Italy's squad to be announced so you can bag Inter...97 wrote:As always another great contribution to the forum, let me summarise your posts:NEDVED 11 wrote: Why Not ???? Is it coz theres NO INTER players in it ?????

good point 97 - if they're good enough to mix it with the league's best then they deserve their spot in the national team - i.e. the Juve players
Thanks for your research into my posts, What a fantastic contribution to the forum that was.97 wrote:As always another great contribution to the forum, let me summarise your posts:NEDVED 11 wrote: Why Not ???? Is it coz theres NO INTER players in it ?????

May I ask, what "great contributions" do you make to the forum ??
Dribbling s*it about Port Power and the stupid AFL on a soccer forum, bragging about how good Inters squad of INTERNATIONAL superstars are, and then making negative comments towards the italian squad. Wow, great contributions !!
Stop kidding youself and face the facts, if every club was like Inter we would have no national team to follow, would we. Am I correct ???
I will continue to count Italians from that scum club you follow, nothing you say will stop me, coz I think the truth hurts you and the rest of your supporters.
![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
PS. I think you should have specified clearly that "Count the Italians" is directly aimed at Inter (and its approximately 94.358893464 %, not 75 %)

Italy have some real quality between the posts, Buffon (Best Kepper in the world), Amelia (Class) and Curci (Young gun), oh and also i didn't know Luca Toni plays for Bayern MonacoVaguely wrote:Goalkeepers: Amelia (Livorno), Buffon (Juventus), Curci (Roma);

Bragging? Hardly more like defending.
Negative comments towards the national team? Could have sworn I tipped them, not hard to understand that it's a risk to take a high % of players who haven't seen a lot of game time is it?
If that's all you got to bag us about then I'll be a happy man. However if we were playing for a top 4 position only, out of European competitions for successive seasons or being relegated for off field matters now that would truly hurtNEDVED 11 wrote: I will continue to count Italians from that scum club you follow, nothing you say will stop me, coz I think the truth hurts you and the rest of your supporters.

I'm wondering what formations we should play. Do we go with a straight 4-4-2? Or a 4-3-2-1? Perhaps a 4-2-3-1?Calcio Nazionale
SCOZIA - ITALIA
Rai International 1,2,3 Africa
Sabato 17 novembre 2007 ore 17.45 (ora it.)
The first and third formation would drop De Rossi from the team and I think he does deserve a chance to play.
Toni no doubt will start up front. if it is 4-4-2, then Di Natale deserves to start as well.
And then there is the case of who should start out wide (i'd rather Camoranesi doesn't). Full backs are undecided.
Anyway I think it will end up 0-0 or 1-1.

on the ball if you really think Panucci should start ahead of Oddo, or even start ahead of Zambrottta on the right and Grosso on the left, your a typical Riommanista scum bastard

listen here you laziale di merda - panucci has been playing well for roma so deserves to start and in scotland italy will need a tough defence and panucci is a tough defender, by the way lefty i am having trouble finding any lazio players in the italian team squad

i reckon he will start with a 4-4-2 - if camo doesn't play wide he could play perrotta or even palladino as he has stated before with palladino in the squad he can play on the left a position del piero refused to play for the italians hence why not in squadJuventino wrote:I'm wondering what formations we should play. yea and out of the three Roma have, only 1 should get a game... De Rossi obviously. like 97 said, Rocchi should be in there and if Mauri was fit he would be under consideration as well... at the end of the day Panucci is shit, deal with RIOMMANISTA SCUM
i dont think anyone in there right mind would rate Panucci higher than any of Oddo, Zambrotta or Grosso... I also think Mesto would of been a better for the squad...

from a neutral perspective - IMO Palladino has lookd the goods from what I've seen and can obviously pop up with a goal... I think he deserves a chance to prove himself in a big time game.... he was on RAI yesterday - seems very mature as in he has his head screwed on his shoulders...

Penutus maximus, since this topic is about the Eyetalian National team and includes eyetalian players, I think if we want to speak Italian - Then we can farken do it.
DONT READ IT if u cant understand.
PS, Panucci will start for the eyetalians.
I predict a draw, either 0-0 or 1-1.
But we need to score first.
