kirrals has been in form for sure.. as leps said she was ment to start but didnt cos she was at the physio.

It is just trial games, no position is cemented especially when we have like 5 games in a row ppl are gonna have to be rested so kev needs to try ppl in diff positions so he knows what he is working with!?

why isnt stacey playing def?? you would hope the def in really organised playing in a 4-3-3..that formation leaves massive gaps on the wings which can be exposed very easily

Intereting scenario.

Carelly selected opposition = favourable result! Playing boys juniors at this time of the year is also clever! Unfortunately the results give false security.

Most of the invitational girls would not training in over 6 weeks. The AS girls have been. A trial game is for rotating players and trying new positions. Unfortunately with the established SASI players I can hardly see them rotating players. Maybe the newies might be thrown about.

Proactiveness from AS would be to revamp the whole squad. More upcoming players. They are the future. Is there any benefit of having "older" players in the team AND taking up a spot of someone who needs a break?

Shorty. Keep the faith. No matter how hard it is keep your head up.

The gap in the lineup is the person sitting on the bench!

You'd think that with all the players in the SAWSA that we could have a few squads to give sensations a few games! You would think so????

If the sensation heirarchy are serious then I would encourage this idea. Why? Never know you might find some new players who would never ever get a look in! With SASI selections for 2008 looming u can Kill 2 birds with one stone and . It makes sense to get as many players in front of the selectors eyes.

shouldnt the sawsa all star team players all be in the AS squad?? makes sense if they are the best in the premier comp then they should be good enough to make the AS squad.

I havent mentioned this but im REALLY disappointed with who the coaches selected in that squad. I dont think i need to expand on what I mean by that.

Anyways, GOODLUCK to the AS team in the tournament. Have fun!!

ok here goes it........ lets see if shorty has any brain cells!!

the league winner and the cup finalist winners should both participate in the invitational national league thats being held in south australia.

now the two teams were
fulham force united
and
metro united

leave the sasi girls in their respected clubs :
so...
Dee
Kirralea
Leppa
MJ
Chi

then have open trials for adelaide sensation and let all the girls who arent apart of the two united teams battle it out for a position in the sensation squad...

i think not only would it attract ALOT more supporters to the event but a lot more money and also i believe the soccer would be quite decent to watch.
maybe this could become an annual event in adelaide and womens soccer/football would continue to grow and grow.
obviously with the womens A-League making a debut the adelaide event could be a pre-season tournament. etc.

also players who dont get accepted into the sensation squad could also have an opportunity to try-out for the fulham/metro teams (or whoeva wins the league adn cup) u know what i mean!! haha

Too obvious Shorty. Too easy. People get paid good money and a bit of "outside the square thinking" is required. Unfortunately it comes down to one thing. Complacency.

Good players get peeved off at this complecency and only when you look inwards from the outside you realise how UGLY it all is. SAWSA shoudl have set (many years ago) a strategy to get as many people as possible with the right level of qualifications to coach the sensations/sasi, etc. The pool is shallow.

One way to deal with compalcency is to make set terms of office ie after 2 terms you cannot continue on. In our case here in Oz, coaches and Administrators must be accountable, set a plan in place and agree with management on outcomes ie performance based contract of employment. Then at the end of the their term of office, they would have had a few reviews undertaken and a decision made on their tenure. In any case the safety net is 2 terms and you're finished.

After all players get assessed at the end of each year AND a decision made on whether they keep the scholarship or not! Its one persons decision! Turn the tables around and you will see results!

This rids complacency and will make everyone achieve the highest they can. And we would have innovative ideas on how to manage this brilliant resource of women's soccer! You girls should try and get involved in your game. Its your game and your voice must be heard.

I would be interested to know which players you believe are high quality players not currently in the squad. I would also like to know which igh quality players attended the Adelaide Sensation trials.

As stated in previous post, with another SASI intake for 2008 looming, selections for World Cup squad for U17's / U20's on the horizon and a new Women's National League being drafted for 2008 you would have expected huge interest by players.
For the Game. For the World.
