Lazio Fans Slammed For Mutu Racism
Lazio Fans Slammed For Mutu Racism
The Italian FA are considering taking action against a segment of the Lazio tifosi over alleged racial abuse directed towards Adrian Mutu of Fiorentina...
Adrian Mutu's alleged abuse at the hands of some Lazio fans has been viewed dimly by the Italian FA, who are considering taking formal action against the capital club.
Romanian hitman Mutu was apparently called a "gypsy", and was subjected to anti-Romanian abuse, by some members of the Lazio tifosi in the Curva Nord at the Olimpico.
Mutu raised their ire after an irresponsible challenge on Cristian Ledesma, prompting vocal abuse, and prompting the Italian FA to consider recourse.
Several clubs in Serie A have this season had sections of their ground closed due to offensive chants or crowd trouble and it seems that Lazio could be the latest team to suffer in such a way.
The beaks are considering a Curva Nord ban on November 25 as Lazio welcome Parma in order to punish that sector of the support.
Mutu's nationality was said to be a prime factor in the abuse due to considerable anti-Romanian sentiment in the capital, prompted by the recent tragic murder of a local woman which was, according to police, committed by a Romanian man.

Everyone deserves a second chance... Mutu did his time and is now enjoying his third brilliant season in the serie a.... to come back the way he has give him some credit.... we all face times when all seems lost in life and it is the people who come back the way Mutu has that are the true inspiration... Im still pretty much a kid and I look up to Mutu, someone who had gone of the rails but showed true character to mend his ways and follow his passion.strappineastie wrote:Yeah i bet it did.BAGGIO 15 wrote:It did in my headstrappineastie wrote:That made no sense whatsoever!
