Carling Cup - Chelsea to face Reds in quarter-final
Eurosport - Sat, 03 Nov 13:19:00 2007
Chelsea will host Liverpool in the stand out quarter-final tie in the Carling Cup.
The holders Chelsea only booked their place in the last eight after a Frank Lampard hat-trick, including a scrambled effort in injury time, helped them overturn a 3-2 deficit and beat Leicester City 4-3 in the fourth round.
The match is a repeat of the 2005 final which Chelsea won 3-2 after extra-time, but Liverpool have had their cup successes over the Blues in the Champions League.
In the round's other ties, last year's beaten finalists Arsenal travel to Ewood Park in a clash between two of the Premier League's in-form teams.
Juande Ramos will take his Tottenham team to Eastlands to face Sven-Goran Eriksson's Manchester City.
While West Ham host Everton to complete an all Premier League quarter-final line-up.
All the matches will be played on the week commencing December 17 except for the tie between West Ham and Everton which will be played in the week commencing December 10.
Carling Cup Quarter-final draw:
West Ham v Everton
Man City v Spurs
Chelsea v Liverpool
Blackburn v Arsenal

Hope you don't think if you beat us in the Carling Cup it's gonna hurt???neworder wrote:pay back if you ask me - we still owe them scusses a bit of a touch up.
Pity the 6 nil Man City scoreline wasn't Liverpool but our time will come and it will hurt when it does? ;)
2 Champions League Semi Final victories would be the equivilant to hurt!
