Seasons End

Post by simon says »

There was a lot said in previous topics about Clubs that continually bring players down for "big games" etc. How did some of those Clubs go this season? I'm sure some were "successful" but did all Clubs have a good year? Didn't seem to work for one or two teams in the higher age groups by the looks of things. Was it worth it?

Mate this happens all the time, if they are eligible then their eligible, it has to be done, it has happened to me alot over the years but you just get over it and work harder. The most humiliating thing to do is to just knuckle down and beat them if possible if not just stop your bitching and live with it!!!!

i say let them drop players because at the end of the day what are they really teaching their team.
the kids that get sidelined for that game, how do they feel knowing that their coach has got no faith in them as a player.
instead of showing faith in your kids all you are doing is telling the kids that they need others to win it for them.
if your team looses with the players that you have trained with all year they will learn from that experience.
how else are we going to teach kids how it feels to loose important games, and how good it feels to win important games.
its about junior development.

Get it right

ausball75 have a look at the real reasons for the player being dropped and what about the U11 who was asked to play up after his game on the Thursday but was ill so the U13 player - who is 12 was brought in.

Could it be the best player broke his arm and a squad of 14 with another player under the weather was down to 12 had nothing to do with playing first division because I am sure they could have been used all season as a note the kid in question also missed the first 8 games with a broken arm.

The U13 player also played with a headache and was not the best player on the park.

Oh and by the way this was the same team that added a very good goalkeeper at half time to stop goals going in at the first game this year and added him to the team sheet after the sheets were passsed out meaning they had 17 players listed so you realy need to get the whole story and always keep an eye in your own backyard.

Modbury Under 12's are a great team, Bringing down players...(Bull Sh!t)...I use to watch that team everyweek...Well done lads in the Gold Coast Cup...(4 Wins and 1 Lost)...During the seasons Modbury Jets Under 12's beat Blue Egales 4-0 away then they beat them 6-0 at home, just face it, it's Football.

a question for you rabbit ..

ive heard you mention on quite a few occassions that you had at para hills a very young group of players for the u17's .. very talented players playing above their age .. assuming some of these lads were 15 or 16 this year ,, and if you have young players already in the u19's some of whom will probably benefit by playing a second year with the u19's will you have room to allow the whole squad of these u17's from 2007 to play in the u19's next year ,,

where will some of these lads play next year ,, under 17's again ? surely not ?

or is your club unique where the whole squad moves up every year on mass and displaces the team above them right through to the senior team ?

This is where you (well some of you) miss the point. :?

Once you get to U17's and you push for U19's you are playing SENIOR soccer.

If you are U17 and don't make the U19's it is a hard call but you may not have a spot (on your face maybe yes but not in a team)

Take a look at which clubs have players in their first team that came from or through their junior ranks. :x

you will not need more than five fingers one one hand for any of the superleague teams, if you can name one i will eat my (pork pie) hat.
