This is for everyone else that doesn't know the facts -
for the record, only the coach weaseled out and took his son with him after only 3 games were played - guess he got a better offer elsewhere
Then after a promising start to the season, the state squad player jumped ship for a rival team, and shortly after that (actually about the same time) they had 2 players with long term injuries. Pretty difficult to recruit at that stage of the season wouldn't you say!
It was a credit to the remaining lads to fight it out, every game and not give up. Although they didn't win a game from that point on they would've learnt more about courage and loyalty from losing than from winning
Tough lesson, but they should be stronger from it.
From what was said and heard, the lads enjoyed playing together, even the 2 that had left the team. All a good bunch of young men, credit to their parents as well
Had the starting squad remained, I have no doubt they would’ve finished at least around mid-table.
hey gremio who mentioned the 15s i recall talking about the 13s.as a parent of the under12s last year , the way the coaching staff approached there squad was outstanding, they gained respect from the kids, but at the same time the kids loved to train and play for the coaches and the club.my son has improved out of sight in a short time and i would like to see more kids involved with this squad cause it is a squad that will keep improving to greater heights over the next few years
