Psychologist To Help Malaysia Revive Fortunes

Post by LFTWNG11 »

The Malaysian national football team is to turn to a psychologist in a bid to revive its ailing fortunes.

The team lost all three games at July’s Asian Cup and new coach B. Sathianathan, who replaced the sacked Norizan Bakar, is hoping that the psychologist, who will be joined on the staff by a full-time masseur, can make a difference.

Malaysia are preparing for next month’s 2010 World Cup qualifier against Bahrain.

“This is the first time we are requesting for a full time psychologist and masseur for the national team,"Sathianathan told The Star.

"It is important we have them on board all the time during our practice sessions and friendly matches. We have to be well equipped in all aspects of the game – be it mental or physical – if we are going to excel.â€￾ .

Ronaldo '07 i think getting the Malaysian national team to watch some Serie A soccer might improve their performances especially with their awful defensive record.

You mean EPL is the most popular league in countries that don't win World Cups.

You get my point?
