HA HA HA problem is though that "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley sung 10 times over does not make an album :D
might not in your book but it does in mine Avenell.though rick had many hits but the one you refer to is a personal fav of mine.

That would be an interesting one. I have heard that another player had been offered the job at Easties and Ingham might be off to another club.

How old is Steve. He would make an alright coach. Been around and played enough to know what he's talking about.
Stevie isn't going anywhere son! He is pumped to coach the East next year! Will attract some players too!
you guys are havin a laugh!!!
Dont you think he's up to it Blowjob??  I think with the current situation with East, that being Keith Ryan leaving, we need a fresh start. Keith has been a fantastic coach, player and commitee member over the last god knows how many years. Its time for some of the younger boys at our club to do something. Steve has put his hand up for contention and i say good on him! He's played at a good level and been to a fair few clubs to see hows its meant to be done. I hope he gets the job and brings in some new faces with it!

Dunno what has happened at East the past few years, but I have never seen that club so poorly attended by spectators.

By the looks your gettin players to join the committee, which puts strain on everyone.

To me it looks like a new coach cannot be another resource from within your club, but an outsider that is well connected.

Agree with ROBBO. to have a club perform at its best you cant afford to have players on teh committee. i think if they can manage to get ingham as the coach along with another offsider to help him out the team should be right. like it has been said before ingham is a great player and would definately attract quite a few quality players down there. in regads to the club as a whole i think its not too far away fro a big change. i have heard they are already planning for next year which is always a positive. all the best to the easties there a decent club who i enjoy playing against every year and i just hope for them they can turn it around to be the club they used to be.

In fairness Robbo, our club has over 60% of its committee that plays or coaches. Its not the perfect set up but you do what you can to survive and thrive.

Easties will be alright. I think a few will head back there next year.

Easties are struggling to get support these days that is very true. Its very disappointing, but we are only a very small club in terms of members and cash flow. Hopefully this year and the next few years we can gradually build up some more support. Its so hard when you only have a few guys putting up their hand and actually wanting to do something for the club. There were a few players on the comittee yes, but what do you do when no one else puts their hand up. I know i for one would rather take on a small role at the club to help out rather than see us struggle.

Robbo and barnicle; we just need a coach that will bring in a few players, bring in some new ideas, players and who will hopefully stick around for a long time. I think Steve can do all of those things. He doesn't have the coaching experience, but he certainly has the backing of the playing group to build up a good squad for next year and hopefully years to come. We certainly are looking at next year already, thats why steve is talking to the comitte very soon.

Ingham is very young to be a 1st team coach, he's only 29 or 30 isn't he?

If Para Hills East are struggling then maybe they could merge with Para Hills West.
They could go under the banner of EAST meets WEST :!: .

Yeah Ingham is still young. But in my view thats great! He needed to think long and hard if he was prepared to give up his playing career to be a coach. I think he would be able to be a great player coach, but we shall see.....

he'll need an assistant to make the decisions/coach while he's playing as it's impossible to do both.

Ingham definitely has my backing. I'm pretty sure he is considering just coaching but I'd love to see him sweep as well. Hopefully he can bring some fresh faces to the club.

I am quite sure he is aware of that! He didn't leave half way through this year did he. I am quite sure Keith will still help when he can & i know that keith will be helping the younger guys on training nights to really teach them how to play amateur soccer. Ingho has my backing!! I have a few plans for next year too in regards to fundraising & attracting new supporters to the club!!

After finishing 3rd to bottom your club should be making a step forward not a backwards one. what normally happens at East when Keith steps aside and they give somebody with no coaching experience a shot..?? Div 2 for the East :D

I have no idea who you are, or what your problem with Ingo is, but please pal, shut up!!!
We had a woful second half of the season granted, but the signs are there with a cracking start to the year last season. We didn't expect to be up that high for any of the season, but we were and it was lucky we got so many points early on. We are trying to get new people involved at the club. And if thats steve then fantastic! With a bit of help from keith and a few of the older lads there it should work out fine. You just concentrate on your own club buddy. You guys could have been in the same postion as us at the end of the year!
