FULHAM vs elizabeth
resulted in a forfeit AFTER fulham got there which we are not happy about considering it took half of us a million years to get there haha

heard there is a $150 fine for clubs if they forfeit after a team arrives - any truth in this?

I have no idea about the fine Shorty, but the number of games forfeited this year is beyond a joke!
It does absolutely nothing to help develop the image of womens football in SA.

Our apologies to the Fulham girls for having you guys drive all the way down only to turn around and go home again, but what can you do when your players just don't show. We had 5 players there and 2 on the way when our CAPTAIN text the coach a mere 15mins before kick off to say she wasn't playing.

With her we would have had 8, so with out her we had no choice but to forfeit.

Its sucks as last week 11 players said yes we will all be there on sunday and then didn't show. Now i can't even have a last game for the season. My season is over.

And for the record the gawler girls wanted to play, they were only told on thursday night that they weren't playing. I mean they were TOLD, there was no discussion with the players.

thats cool dusty i was only a little frustrated with the game being changed to 11am then us getting up wearly leaving at 8.30am to get there at 10.30am and be told there was no game (especially coz i wasnt even playing)
but hey sometimes sh1t happens and you can only do so much..
goodluck with the last game, hope u get the players to play.

Dusty,

Glad that you set the record straight re the Gawler players - I am sure that they would have wanted to play on Sunday given the chance.
This matter is probably best left alone now, without people outside the club speculating - just leave it for Gawler to resolve themselves, as they must surely have had a good reason.
(And dont read much into Lil Lilly's comments - I am sure no-one would take it seriously, and if LL is who I think she is then it probably wasnt meant to be serious either)
