the verdict
once again the leaders from grange have finally delivered their verdict on the abandon game between ttg and pumas. not surprisingly they decided on a reprimand for both clubs!! so once again our organisation leaders have taken the WEAK way out and allow troublemakers to get off scot free. they have listened to a referees report which explained what actually happened(they're supporters ran on started fighting with our players so our fans ran on and it stopped) and delivered the same punishment to both clubs. Not that we were expecting(or deserving) anything out of the debacle but when these clubs that let the minority soil their club name and reputation don't get dealt with in a fair way then what message does it send out to other clubs.. The message it sends out is if your one up and under increasing pressure let your supporters invade the pitch , get the game abandon, wait for the league dinosaurs to share a few black label scotches(paid for by us!!) and agree its too hard to deal with so we'll do......... f#*k all. Too hard basket may need emptying soon as must be getting pretty full!!! Wa*#ers!!!

Do you think the result would have been different if your supporters hadn't run on afterward?

Robinfriday10......i saw on sunday at the game against us, the TTG old boy who is now sitting on the committee at the S.A.A.S.L.
Is he one of those fat cats and toothless tigers you speak of who drink the best scotch at headquaters, 'that we pay for' ?
Its a a shame you guys didnt get the points against the Pumas but in another way good.....that still keeps you 2 points behind the Knights on the ladder.
Never been a fan of the Pumas, so we'll have do everything we can to see that they spend next year in div3.

More often than not it's the mindless idiots on the sideline, not the twenty two players and the officials on the park that cause the trouble.robinfriday10 wrote:probably not, we were terrible that day, the result is not the point. knowing what was on the refs report i believe a fair outcome would be 0 points for anyone. would stop mindless idiots interupting games..

so what action has been taken towards both clubs mate?
perhaps if you informed everyone as to what punishment the clubs have received it might make people think twice before doing something stupid.
though i doubt it!!!

Bulldog, the only action they took was give a verbal/written warning to look out if it happens again!!! not a mention of what will happen ie loss of points etc etc:

THATS ABSALUTE SHITE
So everyone keep in mind if your winning but the pressure is building and looking like the other team might score just get a few of your spectators to run on the pitch and start a fight, The game will get abandoned and you will still get the result.

You'll get the 3 points and a letter from the SAASL saying "naughty boy". I'm not sure why anyone is surprised by this non-action by the Amateur League.LETS GO wrote:THATS ABSALUTE SHITE

Its pretty obvious to me now that the league dont really give a shite when it comes to things like this doesn't it.
We played average that game i think everyone would agree but for the league to do nothing about it just shows what they think of the whole situation.
I think it shows if the game is more than 60% completed and this sort of shite happens the league will just give the points to whoever is leading at the time and thats it. What a joke honestly.

when did this debacle happen was it before or after half time and does this have any bearing. Did the ref just pull up stumps and was there any discussion with the clubs before. Not being to familar with your league is a regular occurence or is it just the one club. Have you had trouble with these before. I know when we suspect trouble there always seems to be a Jimmy Johnson or some league official sniffing around, I suppose it would only be if the club tells the league. No course of action seems to be a bit harsh. What an easy way to win an important game say a league decider would they step up then?GULLY BOYZ wrote:Exactly !!! perhaps if it was to happen again they will get really tough , and give a second warning !!

The league are just like a ref......once they make up their mind, they ain't gonna change it......my suggestion is this
Smack the absolute f u c k out of them ( on the pitch that is ) on the last day of the year ( at home too ) and hopefully by then it will mean relegation.....i think theres a song you can sing to them along the lines of " going down, going down "
May seem like small satisfaction but revenge is a dish best served cold.

Gully didnt deserve the points, plain and simple......We have only played crap twice this year against Pumas and West Beach. Apart from that people who took points away from us were too good on the day and to some degree lucky with some draws. At least we have played almost all the top teams bar West Beach so the race is still well and truely on.
And Vista Boy I hope you have your tissues ready coz your gonna get smashed when you ride (in your mums car) down the road to the GULLY!

Re: the verdict
sorry for using this example robin, nothing personal. this is an example of people wanting the league to get tuff. the league finally have and everybody is complaining. yes they could take off points, they can kick teams out. they can give wipe out results for a whole season. but the truth is, they are never going to please everybody. as long as they are consistent from this point on, i think its a good thing. yes we at the beach havent had the best run home. and yes vista were also going through a ruff patch. but croatia were already on a good behaviour bond. so the league tuffened up. i think all those complaining should just worry about their games this week. because in the end, if you get the result it wont matterrobinfriday10 wrote:once again the leaders from grange have finally delivered their verdict on the abandon game between ttg and pumas. not surprisingly they decided on a reprimand for both clubs!! so once again our organisation leaders have taken the WEAK way out and allow troublemakers to get off scot free. they have listened to a referees report which explained what actually happened(they're supporters ran on started fighting with our players so our fans ran on and it stopped) and delivered the same punishment to both clubs.
