It's going to be a hard road back to the 1st Div. for Salisbury Inter unless a miricle happens over the summer. They would've had not only the lowest supporter group this year in the 1st division but the oldest as well. With a number of senior players retireing & a number who dont want to play 2nd division next year the new coach will need to recruit well over the summer & virtualy bring a squad. If they dont stop the side & rebuild there club quickly they may struggle for a number of years. I hope its not to long before we see the local derby again !

Back in 1988 the Downs dropped from Division 1 and then dropped to Division 3 in 1989. The Club rebuilt on the pitch with a series of coaches and behind the scenes to where they are now. Gully look like doing the same thing.
Inter need to build from the ground up, establish a Junior setup (form an Inter - Florina Junior base maybe!) and rebuild their supporter base.

Yes onthepissagain, Bobby Anderson did a great job holding APAC afloat. I remember him coaching the Downs for a brief period in 1980, then your old man took over till the end of the season.nugget66 wrote:

apac? the council took their ground away. at the time, they were the third most financial club in the state when they were shut down.

I think I played in that game! And I was 16 too and it was my debut! Steve Amos took me to Modbury during that season then he was sacked. DOH!
Someone told me that Bobby Anderson has sold the APAC Clubrooms is this true?
APAC were a very financial club they had sponsors and supporters but the real reason behind there financial success was from BINGO! I cant remember if it was Tuesday nights, Thursday nights and Sunday nights but it was Succesful and brought in the cash, I remember years ago when it was at The Karriwarra hotel and it was standing room only!
And yes they were Financial for yearsand
