how is diving a skill??? it doesnt take a skillful person to fall over. it's cheating and thats all it is.citynumeruno wrote:Diving is a crucial part of the game if your a good diver you get alot of free kicks and penaltys. look at are city team this year we have got loads of goals. diving is a new skill that should be practiced at trainings.
CHEATING...END OF STORY. THE BOOK SHOULD BE THROWN AT CLUBS WHO ENCOURAGE THIS TACTIC. IT'S CRUCIAL THAT PEOPLE LIKE YOU LEARN TO GROW UP. OUR GAME DOESN'T NEED IT AND CERTAINLY DOESN'T NEED THE LIKES OF YOU PLAYING THE SPORT.cantona_united wrote:how is diving a skill??? it doesnt take a skillful person to fall over. it's cheating and thats all it is.citynumeruno wrote:Diving is a crucial part of the game if your a good diver you get alot of free kicks and penaltys. look at are city team this year we have got loads of goals. diving is a new skill that should be practiced at trainings.
So, your saying that Adelaide City should be thrown the book after citynumeruno comments that his team has won heaps of gifts from the referee purely out of simulationrabbit wrote:CHEATING...END OF STORY. I hate it, but sometimes you are fouled but you won't get the free kick unless you over exaggerate it (i dont really do this personally as im quiet on the field). How many refs do we react to sound over sight. Hear a player scream ahh and he gets a free. So to put it bluntly, diving (as in overreacting) can sometimes help you get the free you deserve.
Oh and anyone at the first team metro v ABE game on saturday would have caught a beauty near the end by adam vizzari. This was an example of what i was talking about. Got chopped, you could hear it, he goes down with a scream, only after the scream he gets the free. After he gets the free he immediately gets up and walks off like nothing happened. Quite funny.

Only if it is being Coached as a tactic. I would take a dim view of one of my players cheating to help win a game of football.pulse wrote:So, your saying that Adelaide City should be thrown the book after citynumeruno comments that his team has won heaps of gifts from the referee purely out of simulationrabbit wrote:CHEATING...END OF STORY. Yes very well said, but if you can dive do it . . ! If your outside the 18yrd and its a crowed area, it is hard to shoot, so dont just dive for no reason but if someone puts a footout tripover it n' dive;;PENALTY 5 wrote:Diving is bull$hit. Its an act of unsportmanship. If you have to dive to get a free kick, that tells me you don't have enough ability to beat your opponent.

well if u are clipped by an opponent its a free kick...but if u keep your your feet lets say in the penalty box the ref may not spot the infringement...so why not go to ground to convince the ref that you were fouled...you cant argue that because thats a rule>>...if a player is clipped its a foul...whether the player decides to take a tumble or not it really doesnt matter because the player who made the tackle is already in the wrong for fouling the opponent
