mvsc could have been given money this year and werent as they are not loyal to the store that supported them last year and sourced product from port road sports instead of supporting the store that supported them.

We bought from Port Rd sports because I put in an official request for sponsorship from your place in January and I GOT NO REPLY you nobhead, even after I asked the girl who runs the GG shop twice about it.

you spoke to her once from what i heard. if there was genuin interest then i could have made a time to sit down and see what was needed and how it could have been beneficial for both. dont tell me im making myself look stupid because a) i dont give a shit. and b) i have every right to be shitty after all the time effort and money put in last year. BULLDOG knows the lengths i have gone to for the club over the years so i dont appreciate being called a knobhead. thanks.

the fact that you have been given a wholesale pricelist is ridiculous and umbro australia will be getting a nasty phone call on monday morning if this is the case. small businesses rely on club sales now that a mart have taken over from rowe and jarman and rebel. all you do by getting strips direct from umbro is kill any sponsorship that a sports store will give you. its no wonder that umbro had to sell to harris scarfe last year when their sales didnt reach the budget of the respective sell in. i have been supplying my club with umbro gear now for seasons and all at great prices but will no longer do it if this is the case. pretty disappointed.

In fairness though, how many clubs buy replica strips from a sports store to make a playing strip. Most get there own made at Sportscentre or Jax. When you consider that all clubs are not for profit, if there is a way to save money, why not take the opportunity. If a sports store is relying on sales to a soccer club, it must be struggling a bit. Vista Boy, can you private message me with some details. We are looking for new strips new year.

ALL small businesses rely on getting club sales and make minimal profit on those sales assuming that the players are then going to support the business that supports them by buying boots etc from that store. i can tell you that all mvsc strips last year were passed on at NO PROFIT to the store they came from. the strips that are on offer arent replica strips of any team they are generic strips that are based on the design of international and club strips. if all suppliers of all products (not only sporting goods) sold direct to the public, people like me who work hard for what we have wouldnt have jobs. lets be fair whether you save a few bucks or not its not the right thing to do in any industry.

I think you'll find you still have a bit to learn about business. In most industries, the middle man is being eliminated due to rising costs. In every industry their are manufactuers that sell direct to the public. Is it right then for clubs to shoulder a bill and then maybe the club goes under due to costs. As a committee member of my club, I can tell you it isn't easy to balance books and anything that we can do to keep costs lower then we do it. We purchase our alcohol from a pub who in turn give us sponsorship. If we were able to purchase the alcohol from somewhere else cheaper and the saving over the season was more than the sponsorship from the pub, we would buy it at the cheaper place. Competition drives prices down. Look at the airline industry. 10-12 years ago it would cost you $250 to get to Melbourne. Now you can do it for $70 if not cheaper.

I've been sent some samples and the jerseys can be bought for $20 (one is an exact replica of the England kit from a couple of years ago, obviously without the badges).

Vista Bhoy, can you please pass on to the rep my displeasure in thier product at the moment. the last 2 pairs of umbro boots i have purchased have failed to last the season. the last pair have only lasted 6 games. am very unhappy

Thats as a result of the intense weight bearing they do. Its only physics letting you down.When you change directions the boots would be under side splitting pressure from the downward / sideways force of the extra kilo's you carry

My Cousin is in charge of kit sales to club sides in England/Scotland etc. And Harry, he's the one that signed the deal with R*ngers for their Umbro kit (business is business )

Anyhoo, he put me in touch with the Aussie Umbro rep and I have the wholesale price list.

In regards to 7 a-side, minimum order for strips is 15.

he lived next door to me, i have scored plenty of nice umbro gear. umbro's new gloves are class too for any keepers out there.
