The relegation battle is far from over with 3 games to go. If Inter were to win all remaining games then they would finish on 19 points. So it's still game on for the bottom 4.
Having said that, I think the Downs die hards would probably like to see both the Vale and Inter drop a division.
Inter (11 points) play - Parafield, Vale Florina
Fulham (13 points) play - Lion, Para Hills West, Downs
Para Hills West (15 points) play - Florina, Fulham, Ingle Farm
Vale (18 points) play - Ingle Farm, Inter, Para Hills East

That would be nice.ROONEY10 wrote:interestin if they both go downfinderskeeper wrote:Grasshopper - One thing you can guarantee is that there are no guarantees!
If Inter beat the Vale + Fulham = 17 pts
If Fulham beat Lions + PHW = 19 pts
If PHW beat Florina+ draw with Ingle Farm = 19 pts
If Vale lose all 3 remaining games = 18 pts
WHY DO THEY CALL IT OVALTINE? I MEAN ITS ROUND, WHY DONT THEY CALL IT ROUNDTINE.

Stuart tyerman is probly one of the most influencal coaches ive ever been under. I currently am being coached by him at Playford hes an absolute gun he has taught me so much i only started this sport last year and i think due to stueys coaching i have become dramatically better as a keeper. I will alos point out that next year u myt see some junior players liek myself from various federation clubs at Inter as a few of us have been spoken to about next year. Id like to play under stuey again next year but even if he dosent go on ive been told Inter is a qaulity club and with some of our lads help next year i rekon they can get back into div 1 we they belong. I agree Stuart is a great coach and Im sure Inter would not have been relegated if he was there from the start of the year BUT I wouldnt leave a Federation club (Even at junior level) to play in Sunday Division 2, that would be a backward step and Im sure (Even Stuart) would advise you to stay put. Inter is a great club and I hope they bounce back sooner rather than later.Jimmy's The Boss wrote:Stuart tyerman is probly one of the most influencal coaches ive ever been under. Playing Division 2 Amateurs is by far a better option than Federation Juniors. You mix it with plenty of experienced players, you toughen up.
I played Divisin 2 when I was 16 and had ~4 well seasoned ex Federation players around me and had been training and playing with APAC Juniors at the start of the season - no comparison!

Finderskeepers you have got to be joking, The person plays at Playford NOW and they have a good Junior set up. APAC have not been around for at least 10 years and there Junior set up was ordinary and back then yes the 2nd Division would have been good BUT not today Im afraid. A kid in the 2nd Division would get kicked from Pillar to post. Stay at a Federation club unless your going to go into Sunday (or Saturday) Division 1.

Left Right Out, there are probably plenty of others but Alan Mottram and Andrew Thompson both started in Division 2 Amateurs before they were 16 and went on to prove themselves quite proficiently at Federation level. They were playing alongside the likes of Jimmy Mitchell, Charlie Tumbridge, George Getgood etc. Federation Juniors are simply not the only way to go about it (safe perhaps!), particularly if you at an Amateur Club affiliated with a great junior setup.

Stuart is a nice bloke and I have only ever heard positive things about his coaching.
I think you would be much better off if you can get in the 1st team at inter under him in div 2 than you would be playing 17's. Though I do think you may be underestimating the standard and physicality of the second division, I reckon it'll take more than a few young lads to get Inter back up in the next couple of years:!:
I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.
