sing it in the changerooms or somewhere else.

i find it a disrespect to the opposition. last season when the cup semi finals went to extra time and they scored from a penalty and went on to win i found that song so disrespectful. no arses were kicked that day. fair enough be happy with ur result but singing songs about ur opposition doesnt go down well with quite a few

instead when i play from now on i might shake hands with someone n say "yeh good game, we kicked ur arse"

Wen metro had a depleated side and no one on the bench...yet fulham after struggling for players all year managed a full bench....*cough* shifty *cough*.....and beating them...yea thats kicking ass.

As to the song....yea it should be scrapped hey....then we can be original like every other stupid team n sing that dumb farken zigga zagga song

how is that shifty? we had 2 from the 17's and a number that arent cup tied to the prems as yet who are normal starters for prems in the league.

our prems have played with minimal players in the cup this season to give our ressies the best chance of doing well in the cup considering they arent doing so well in the league. thats what good clubs do....

hows it shifty torz? our 17s lost that morning n we had 2 brought up, i for one wasnt at work so i cld play, dan was back from injury... that count for 4 of us.. we had 2 ppl on the bench i think...
and its defo not like we stacked out res side.. no1 in that squad plays prems...

as for the ever so 'depleted' metro side, whom happen to be top or 2nd in the league... well that says enuf... you guys won.. but didn tkick our ass as ur lovely, respectful song states.

yer but it makes u feel like crap hearing that....my dad came for the first time to watch a womens game and heared that song, he thought it was completely off.....i mean yea the players may think it means jack but for opposition its a lack of respect, esp when ur an idividual who tries to do all they can during a game.

so its metro v grove now? how they workin out the prems??

As far as the song goes there is nothing personal meant by the song. Metro United have been a pround club since it became itself and is something we have done from the begining. the song was sang by everyone yesterday as the prems who did just win 8-1 (is that kicking arse) waited to sing it as a club and as one.

Metro United played there heart out yesterday having come from a bitter sweet lost last week to Cumberland we wanted to go out there and prove that we can come back from anything, the song is in no way ment to be disrespectful to any opposition our coach tells us to always respect and honour our opponents regardless of anything and i think what ever happens on the pitch stays on the pitch you should all know that rule!!!! if you hd any respect for yourself and your team, officials and opposition.

yes fulham and metro are rivals but so what at the end of the day relax and celebrate the effort your team put into the game!

Wel for starters it s h i t s on Zigga Zagga! And a win is a win and a song should b sung! it shows the hard work and passion thats put into the game.. not at any stage is it ment to b offensive or ment to be "rubbed into" the opposition! I no that personally If I heard my opposition sing rite in front of me.. in a close game.. or actaully any game that we happen to lose.. I would b peaking and yer im sure id be ready to kill them! And im sure if i heard "we kicked ur A S S!" id be even more angry but at the end of the day.. i feel its not so mcuh the words thats being sung that would effect me.. (unless the oppositions team name was included).. its the song in general but thats sport for u.. most teams in any sport have a song! the song is sung ONCE and once only after a game! Its all left on the pitch!

Oh yeah by the way ...just like your 'good club' we have also played with MINIMAL Prems players to give our reserves the best chance, however as our other teams (to pick players from on Sunday) were also playing... it makes life hard... As you would have known since your 17's were also playing..! Guess your not the only 'good' club going around..

But now I’m a little bit confused because gubs says that there are some Prems players that play regularly on Sundays for Prems in league who played reserves (who were not cup tied)...and then courts says ..No1 that plays Prems was in that team???

In all honesty ..Some people are starting to sound like sore losers...

I would hate to see what the forum would be like if we played highlevel football ..i mean could you imagine if we had big crowds and supporters started singing mean songs about us...

I guess you guys will never say a mean word in a song again.. if its being sung anywhere near a football team that may have just lost or be losing a game.. after all that would make you a hypocrite

re; eligability

Post by barbarian »

Once again The Cumby Res cup situation, highlights Sawsa not thinking and better planning , I sympathis with Cumby.
ALSO why is the full game not replayed as it was abandoned??
Why only play the last 15 min??
Other games abandoned are either score stands or are replayed fully
Also in terms of eligable players RE; Fulham?? The girls from the Prem and Under 17 who played in Cup Semi for Res,had to have played 5 games in the res over the Year?? to be eligable for the Cup semi ??
Had all the players that played for Fulham met this eligability clause??(U17s who played)
As this was the reason Cumby only had 7 players as could not bring U17s up or play players from Div 2/3 teams (did not meet the 5 game in res eligability rule)

fulham res train once a week with barely 5 players (so basically they neva train) the players who came up torz lost their cup game that morning and have previously played 5 games for the reserves leading up to the game...

pretty sure no shifty stuff goin on there and also - fulham have a cupboard full of trophies because we are fair and play to win not because we cheat....
so mr. "im so cool im the manager of the metro reserves so i can stalk them more" - we play fair and are no where near shifty.....

as for metro singing there song - let em sing it, it makes everyone laugh i want them to release it - it could possibly be up with the shannon noll's of australia... but hey its all done for a bit of fun - noarlunga used to sing (admittingly we did sing it quite often as we never lost!! kirrals/neits!!) hahaha

Are u for real Enigma?? S h i t.. better hit up this story in the paper and in news headlines NOW! this is breakin news!! We must be a team of high paid PROFESSIONAL Athletes who are all adults with no youth at all!! And have apparently now restricted our lives to playing Local Soccer in our own state!

its called.. having a good time out while not playing soccer.. the condition of the pitch has nothing to do wit it mate! and its called a club song which was sung after a win! important win at that!

i would have thought metro had the decency to at least shake the fulham players hands before running off yes they may have been excited but shud have thanked the fulham girls. fulham where polite enough to do it when they beat toros in extra time so why cant metro do it. and pretty sure they could have found another song to sing cause im sure fulham girls didnt want to hear we kicked your ass after a very close game
