Formerly known as Ghan, Maiwand have continuously caused trouble with many clubs. We had an all in brawl with them last year. A couple of their games have been abandoned this year and today it happened again.
Game was abandoned 15 mins into second half due to death threats from Maiwand supporters and players giving death threats to the ref and pushing him around after yellow and red cards.
The ref pleaded to Maiwand at half time to calm things down and continued with the second half for the good of the game but after one of the players were sent off he threatened and then racially aboused the ref, so that was it. PITCH INVASION
All this was video taped so Maiwand then attacked our guy with the camera demanding the evidence be deleted. So once again with this mob there was an all in brawl, cops were called and escorted the ref home.
No one was hurt except for one Maiwand guy which I punched in the face for knocking my camera out of my mates hand.

hehe thats a good lawyer. i have to laugh, but definitely agree when it comes to banning clubs who continuously cause problems. bosna in div 3 are the same and croatia. teams and refs who just come out to enjoy a good game of soccer every weekend shouldnt have to put up with that kind of crap. there should be more committee members watching these clubs with bad reputations.
Furburger, Educate your camera man to zoom in whilst walking/running/retreating backwards, this protects both him and his equipment - hope you stick it on you.tube !

Very disappointing furburger - hopefully they will kick these idiots out of the league. There is no need for referees and other clubs to put up with violence and threats. Obviously you will get the points, but what was the score at the time?

I think the problem is that every time there is a call made against these guys they take it personal and think its an attack against them rather than just a refereeing call.
Like i have said before on this forum, when new immigrants come in from war torn countries we need to be spending money on getting them counselling to realise that Australia isnt against them.
However most people are just trying to donate boots to them and get them onto a soccer pitch in a competitive state.

Now I could be wrong but that is how I understand it to have happened.

Send the tape to today tonight and get the league to offer some dodgy comment it would be fun to watch them squirm out of another debacle. Teams like this are a joke and should be treated as such. Must of been good for all the kids to see..

I couldn't believe how much they really wanted to get their hands on the camera to delete the footage. They were saying that it is illegal to video someone without their permission. Either they know that the video can get them kicked out of the league once and for all or they have some illegals playing or watching...
Lets not be racist, there is good and bad in all. Write to the league, and follow that up with a phone call first and ask them on what action if any will be taken. They might need to discuss this in a meeting etc and a decision may take a few days. If no action is taken follow that up with the FFSA, after all they are the governing body. Publicity is not good, but probably the only option if all else fails.

I am very disappointed that the league has allowed this to happen again by permitting them to play again this year. "Same management, different players" MY ASS!!! They're the same bunch of midget softc0cks we played last year.
If anyone gets hurt, saasl should be held accountable. I've displayed my disappointment by (legally) taking 2 of their players out on Sunday . Fuk with our team and they get their mad dogs onto ya... AR ARR AROOOOOOW.

Abandoned Game Maiwand SC v Adelaide Asteras 26/7/2007
As a result of the meeting of the SAASL Management Committee held on Friday 3rd August 2007 covering the above fixture, that due to the fact that club Maiwand was unable to provide adequate measures to satisfy the Management Committee that the club could control its Players and Supporters it was therefore resolved that:
"the balance of fixtures with which this club were to be involved will be forfeited and that should the club decide to re-apply to continue in 2008 they will be subject to the new range of controls to be instituted on all clubs from season 2008 onwards".

We played them in the cup a couple of years back, one of thier players got sent off for punching one of ours behind play, appart from that nothing happened and we stuffed them so they wouldn't have been too happy.
