He was all over the park and was a spent force by half time. Downs defended their lead and were the only team that looked like scoring. Downs sweeper was awesome. Downs away support was bigger than Farms home crowd. Farmers with plenty of injuries play Gardens next week with three send offs to reduce their options will be an interesting game. Was going to see that game but if my calculations are correct the Downs can win the league next week if Farm dont take three points from Gardens. I will go to the Downs v Inter game and see them lift the trophy.
Pretty much on the ball New Pom. Lucky to be 4 -5 changes for both team together all day. I can only recall the Downs having one other strike on goal after they scored, the rest of the chances for both team were half chances. Ennis should have brought it back to 1-1 just after the Downs scored but just missed.
Bit of a shame the Farm not having it's full stack, to have 4 players out in a big game is a big ask on those who came in but it just shows the depth of the squad. I think the Down's only had Buttler out with the flew.
Good game, well taken goal, the game really deserved to be a draw. Not much else to say about it. The Downs a well structured team, play good hard consistent football and should win the league from here. Very fair game. Well done.
The Downs did have a biggish crowd including the Moron Wonder Woman who made it for a good laugh. I think the weather kept a few more of them away. The crowd was good all day not really that vocal.
Thanks to all the Downs supporters who ate and drank all day and stuck around for a drink or two. There has been some banter about the Downs supporters bringing there own drinks to away games, and some may have but a fair proportion didn't and bought from the bar. Thanks for supporting our club as every club relies on home games to survive.
Well done to the Downs...
