Being fair to him, he has done a good job over the 5 years the club has had him. He doesn't care who you are and if you give him lip, your in the book. I'm he president and I was very close to being sent off yesterday for abusing him for disallowing my goal.
He is a good ref and very fair. We are all still dissppointed about the result in the B's. He is a very good asset for the club. We have it lucky and probably the reason we get upset at away games with refs because we have such a good one when we play at home.
I still want my goal back though Glen!!!!!!

Knight 7 & Mexican,
so which one was it - was your player hit or kicked infront of the ref? You guys have 2 versions, maybe the ref saw a 3rd?
Wasn't there so can't comment - but all I can say is how dare the ref not send the Croatia player off...FFS, doesn't he know we're doing our best to pay more in fines to the SAASL.
The delegates won't be impressed with Croatia finishing a match with 11 on the park. Perhaps our B ref should have done the A game too?
Consistency is what the refs seem to have nothing of this year from the matches I've seen. Very frustrating for players, but at the end of the day rooboy is on the money.

I saw him kick our player......maybe you should ask your captain, the hero who kicks somone from behind, or perhaps you can ask for the video tape from your supporters who were filming at the timeHosovac wrote:Knight 7 & Mexican,

Maybe thats it though..the league can keep the teams like this around so they can reap the rewards of collecting the fines, stacking the bank with $$$ and continue to totally ignore the real issue.

Lol, almost got me Hosovac - he kicked our player there were 3 astronauts from the Space Station who saw it - because the guys drew attention to himself by mouthing off very loudly and making it obvious to everyone that he was about to "hit" him. Just for the record (Oxford dictionary) a "hit" is a strike from the hand or a strike from an object or part of the body
Oops nice try though

Knight & Mexican Gringo, honestly this post is simply a continuation from yesterday's whineing. I've never seen a group of pathetic supporters like the the mob that travelled to Gepps Cross.
Passion is one thing but crying & sulking like you guys do is hilarious. Time to grow up the lot of you.
Get over the referee's inability to call a game & blame your strikers for squandering all their opportunities. The second half belonged to the Knights & your own inability to capitalise must surely be questioned.
Sending off our captain was never going to change the result, you lot could have played for another 3 hrs without finding the back of the net.
So get off the 'sooky bus' and get on with it....farken sooky lala's

Coming from a team that's had 6? or is it 5? players sent off in the last 3 games then called the referee's cheats and that there was a conspiracy against you guys that's quite funny.
If and it's a huge if, you read what I said about the game, I suggested 3 things were to blame - the pitch, the referee and poor finishing - I agree out of those 3 poor finishing was mostly to blame.
I respect the fact that you agree you captain should have been sent off and agree with 5 or so minutes to go wouldn't have made much difference
Hope you guys focus more on your own problems you have a lot to sort out

Get your facts right - 7 reds in 5 weeks. Should have been 8 in 6.
Our problems are evident but we make it a rule not to come on here and sook about the wknds events. Pretty childish if you ask me.
Hosovac is a supporter & I believe he is welcome to his opinion. No one 'involved' in the club has ever posted and we will continue to stay diligent even if things aren't going our way.

Spot on - I have nothing to do with the club. I thought forums were about posting an opinion?
Mexican, maybe the league would prefer to keep teams around who have some skill and not just run, pump the ball long and whinge till the cows come home?
But yes, your club has never caused any trouble in the past, never been involved in an abandoned match, never had a player booked let alone sent off...I could just go on forever at how great and perfect your club is...but this topic isn't about your club so I won't.

No denying it, there is quite alot of wasted skill in that Croatian team...just imagine how good your team could be if they bothered to train instead of settling for mediocracy and violent and cowardly acts of assault.Hosovac wrote:Spot on - I have nothing to do with the club. Maybe if you get some spare time you could start a topic on how wonderful and perfect the knight are.....im far too modest to begin one

and i won't deny it, buckets of wasted semen on the knights team. imagine how much shitter you'd be if you didn't train versus a team that doesn't either, but you train, so it was a draw. The Mexican wrote:No denying it, there is quite alot of wasted skill in that Croatian team...just imagine how good your team could be if they bothered to train instead of settling for mediocracy and violent and cowardly acts of assault.Hosovac wrote:Spot on - I have nothing to do with the club. Now we know what the Croatian team does instead of training. Funny mental picture of you lot all standing around a bucket with photos of rival clubs.

Referees
Perhaps the solution to all you experts, sack all the referees, have club officials do the games. As Russell Crowe once said such an act would "unleash hell".
The realities are this:
1. Increasing match payments is not the answer.
2. Unless there is a turn around in behaviour then you wont have any referees.
3. Prospective refs reading this thread, would say why bother.
4. The penalties issued to violent offenders both towards players and referees have been too soft.
5. Yes referees are human they do mistakes, but they dont tell players to hit and start brawls, that comes from lack of discipline.
6. The number of errors of law the refs make are less than the mistakes made by the average player on the field. Problem is with each decision, one side loves and one side hates.
We need the follow the amateur football league, which has a new code of conduct regarding abuse towards officials. Time has come for summit between the league, refs and clubs. However the penalties applied need to be increased.
To all you ref bashers, do the course, but the uniform and try and referee a game on your own with no qualified assistants and see how you go. See if you could put up with the shit served up every week.

I think a system of fining clubs will have to be introduced. The Amateur League should have a couple of reps at games each week. They should be incognito and observe teams with bad records and reports of abuse. Start with $500 fines and each offence increased by $500. This would force clubs to inforce their own disipline. Believe me there's not too many clubs that could afford three or four fines . Clubs found guilty constantly would soon drop out. Even a bankrolled Sals Villa would find themselves having to displine from within.
