Gully vs ??? Derby

Post by Cyril 33 »

Who is it that TTG are playing in the local derby this weekend. Bit surprised not to hear the Vista Boys talking up their chances of a win over the gullies. Have they lost interest? Whatever it is I am looking forward to getting over the white line and staying ahead of Vista on the ladder. Go you Gully boys.

I was thinking the same thing Lance23. It has been mighty quiet this week actually. I won't start running my mouth though, hopefully the results will speak for themselves after sundays games.

Gully B's won 3-1
Gully A's won 2-0

I think that both results were well deserved, both played well.

Both teams lost 4-0 last weekend. 6th v 7th so hardly game of the round so it will probably be a 0-0 draw. I ll probably go and watch farm vs downs instead.

I hear that theres unrest at the Gully, is this true Ronnie.?

i think most people would be interested in the raptors West beach game if they are from Div 2, quite an important game, easily the game of the round in div 2

Cheers Hangover. I was happy with my 2 goals & yeah it feels even better when they are against your old team. Should be able to hold off the challenges & hopefully take the title. Be the 1st thing i've ever won in seniors if we can do it. Gold :D

Still surprised that we haven't heard nothing from the Vista boys on the forum. Normally other teams that beat them get some comments like well played or good hard game.I guess it must be hard to swallow that Vista have had the double done on them in Both A's and B's by a team they thought weren't up to Div. 2. Well done to both Gully teams. I guess all the hard work at training (especially Wednesdays) paid off
Anyway - Nothing better than beating Vista, Lets keep winning and stay above them on the ladder. GO THE GULLY !

At least this derby will continue next season,

Great cup run by Gully, who should beat Croatia to advance to Semis

II note there is unrest (to quote this topic) has league results been a big disappointment at Gully this year?

it is harder to swallow than you would think. didnt have chance to play in the first leg and was fired up enough to break someones yesterday but ronnie 10 was the only one that had enough balls to come close enough to me. the first goal came down to us giving the ball away in the corridor and i simply didnt have the chance to match glenno with pace, he already had 3 or 4 yards on me, finished well. the b's attacked well the first 20 minutes and had more of the posession but just couldnt score and conceded the first two goals by sloppy passing and giving the ball away too easily. second half was totally different with not enough of our boys wanting it, not enough desire. too many young lads that dont know what it is to play against the gully and have pride in the shirt and show some determination in a local derby. i wont say well done or goodluck because im a sore loser and feel as though it is partly my fault i couldnt get the team geered up enough.

if you wanna be a passenger,
climb aboard with me,
we're leaving now,
step outside and see,
another world,
only if you wanna be,
a passenger.
