Napoli Snatch Gargano

Newly promoted Serie A club Napoli have announced the signing of Copa America star Walter Gargano.
Napoli have beaten off competition to snatch Uruguayan international midfielder Walter Gargano, as the club have confirmed. The player will turn 23 later this week and signed a five-year contract with the newly promoted team.



Earlier today the player’s agent had denied the San Paolo would be his destination.

“He’s close to Lazioâ€￾, agent Vincenzo D’Ippolito explained. “He wants to join a big club, and with the Napoli talks having ended, only the Biancocelesti fulfill his requirements.

“Atalanta were also interested, but with all due respect they are not a major club. Fiorentina could’ve been, but the chance of that happening is very little.â€￾

Surprisingly only a few hours after that Napoli announced the arrival of Gargano and allegedly fellow Uruguayan Napoli player Mariano Bogliacino’s intervention proved decisive.

“I’m very happy to have had Gargano’s handshake, even if it was only across the phone, to complete this deal,â€￾ said president Aurelio De Laurentiis. “General director Marino had already reached an agreement, but it could not be formalised until the player got his EC passport.

“Other clubs had tried to contact him, but Gargano was only interested in Napoli and I welcome him to the Azzurri.â€￾

ABOUT BLOOOODY TIME AS WELL
The sage went on for nearly a month.
Now the azzurri can settle in on their pre season and hopefully have a successful return season in Serie A


Hamsyk, Lavezzi, Gargano
Pretty GREAT signings and all 3 are on a 5 year deal
