Croatias pitch is pretty average but their facilities are one of the best i think. They play at the Adelaide Raiders home ground on main north rd.
Raptors away changerooms were average a tin shed at the back of the ground, but i remember them having a fire somewhere at the same school which is why the away changerooms are so bad am i right?

@ ronnie#10
contrary to what some k nobs are saying about our facilities, you are right.
the school built a multi purpose gymnasium which was also going to house the 'after school hours care' unit.
unfortunately for the whole community, it was accidently set alight by a couple of kids mucking around with aerosole cans near the air conditioning unit.
as a result, the school has been using the clubroom as its 'after school care' unit and the away changerooms for storage (its ironic that just prior to the fire we installed a brand new hot water system in the away changerooms before upgrading the home one)
we make a note of apologising to all the away teams and explain the situation but make it clear that the shower and bathroom facilities are available to all.
just ask mr gannon from vista
for those who have played at devitt ave prior to this year would know that the changerooms are bigger than most fed clubs with access to their own showers (having played at the jets, blue eagles, red devils, metro, white eagles, polonia's, etc etc ground). as for amatuer clubs, most can only wish for what we have. i dont say that in a disrespectful manner but i know the club has worked very hard to provide these facilities for the players

Being from the Downs I would have to say the Downs is up there for the worst. The council do naff all always the last to get any of their recycled water but you should see the lush cricket pitches on the footy ovals during summer bloody spot on. Mind you with 5 senior sides a couple of womens teams and a boat load of junior teams wear and tear becomes an issue one week into the season. Having said that who else can lay claim to having the famous downs bounce, just as your lining up a boot up she will bobble been the curse of many a goalie....mightyreds wrote:I would have to say the Downs & Farm are the worst pitches in Div.1, Downs pitch is rock hard & Farm's need i say anymore with the slope...
Nab used to have a pretty crappy ground - black stincky mud before they did some work on it and Ingle Farms was always a slog uphill into a howling breeze. As much as I dislike saying it Parafield and Lion up there with the best at least you can stand around the pitch and not get covered in crap...
There is no I in team, but there is a u in suck...

Vista have a similar problem with our putch as there are so many junior teams that train and play there it doesnt take long to tear it up. Both goal mouths are dirt and straight through the middle the same. One of the wings is still in good condition though.legga wrote:Being from the Downs I would have to say the Downs is up there for the worst. Looking forward to it at the end of the day both teams have to play on it and I do not know if a great deal of teams have a distinctive advantage playing at home. Has anyone gone underfeated at home this year in Div 1. The Downs supporters always travel well so you do not really notice the lack of support some teams get when they travel. Which way to go first if you win the toss was always the hardest playing at the Ingle. The hill can be decieving and a couple of games I was involved in we actually played better going up. Everyone gets a good view on the hill anyway.mightyreds wrote:Yeah your spot on there Legga, NAB's ground does stink must be all the cow sh#t they put on it...at least the Downs is pretty flat mate not like ours hey...
should be 2 cracking games this wkend...
