Best Goalkeeper

yeah he organises the defense but to become a better keeper he has to come off his line saw him hit the 18 yard box once in 2 games but hey just my opinionmackem in blue wrote:ben aldridge by a country mile. anyone who wants to argue should go and talk to the super league clubs who were fighting for his signature at the start of the year. a good keeper doesnt just stop shots, he organises the players in front of him, benny is a great organiser.
Conceeded three though? I didnt think he had the greatest of games and his goalkicks were poor at times. Although, his drop kicks were good, good distance and accuracy.mightyreds wrote:The State coach was down watching the Lion v Farm game yday & i heard he definately penciled the keeper Greenwood down, he is a class act probably our best pick up this season along with Donovan...
But having said that, 1 game does not make a season and Farm wouldnt be near the top without a good keeper.
He didnt get much chance yesterday, he has been a massive difference to our club, cannot say enough about him, he DESERVES to get into the State team for a fantastic season.redders wrote:Conceeded three though? He has saved us time and time again all season. Glad they are looking at him.

no probs mate... the game you played against us first round was a quality performance and i have no doubt you could walk into any div 1 side but dont get carried away thought coz we will put a few past you in a few weeksMr Goalie wrote:Thanks Handy Man.Handy_man wrote:two top class keepers are in div 3....... dont think aldridge from what ive seen would be worthy of cleaning the boots of the ppt keeper...look outside the box...div 1 isnt the be all....

i think you two need to stop licking eachothers nuts and wake up. DIVISION 1 is the be all you knob-ed. what, you think everyone aims to play div 3 amateurs on a sunday? benny has mixed it with the best in DIVISION 1 for three seasons now and has become a crucial part of the senior group at the club. between him and hullsy you have the best two keepers in the WHOLE amateur league. records speak for themselves, drag your ar se to DIVISION 1 then argue the point. DIVISION 1 keppers stop the shots of DIVISION 1 quality players, consistently. both your teams would last 2 seconds V the GARDENS or DOWNS.Handy_man wrote:no probs mate... the game you played against us first round was a quality performance and i have no doubt you could walk into any div 1 side but dont get carried away thought coz we will put a few past you in a few weeksMr Goalie wrote:Thanks Handy Man.Handy_man wrote:two top class keepers are in div 3....... dont think aldridge from what ive seen would be worthy of cleaning the boots of the ppt keeper...look outside the box...div 1 isnt the be all....

ouch youch fark sheeeyat that hurt...... you know its harder to stop a shot from a div 3 donkey who cant kick for shite than a quality div 1 player who is as predictable as the sun coming up each morning..... however no desrespect to anyone wearing the gloves........ and if we want to lick each others nuts that our business.....your welcome to slopsmackem in blue wrote:i think you two need to stop licking eachothers nuts and wake up. Played with and against Ben Aldridge as a junior and watched him over the last few years and he is by far the best keeper in the league! Hullsy, Reynolds, Greenwood, Peacey all quality.Handy_man wrote:ouch youch fark sheeeyat that hurt...... you know its harder to stop a shot from a div 3 donkey who cant kick for shite than a quality div 1 player who is as predictable as the sun coming up each morning..... however no desrespect to anyone wearing the gloves........ and if we want to lick each others nuts that our business.....your welcome to slopsmackem in blue wrote:i think you two need to stop licking eachothers nuts and wake up. dont waste your time, youll only get bagged on the forum archie christakos playing div 5 for beograd now.....one of the most decorated keepers in sa and probably still good enough to walk into a federation side.....oops sorry he's not playing div 1 sun amateurs so he must be not worthy.....pfffftMr Goalie wrote:might have to try out for a div 1 team to see what all the fuss is about.
Salisbury Inter asked me to play for them after they beat us in the cup round, but wasn't interested.
I've been at payneham for 7 years now and would be hard to leave.

no didnt see that handy man, but i saw you against TTG in a pre season game and you were crap. You have taken over from Maso prez as the embarassment to you and your club. You are the weakest link in your team goodbye.
