Vista B's - hold your heads high. Played well, very well.
Pontian B's - get on your knees and thank lady luck. Or just take a dive outside the box and scream PENALTY again.

"I firmly believe that any mans finest hour - his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear...... Is that moment when he has played his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the filed of battle....Victorious"
Something that Vista need to start doing, no harm in asking the question.....whether its cheating or just playing with the rules, there's never any harm in asking. Some get given others don't........Pontian were lucky not to get a penalty in the A's, question was asked.....many tackles happened on the weekend where simply going down would have been rewarded a free kick, Pontian play "smarter" and showed experience, Vista B's were very unlucky and played well, cracking set up goal, but your right, most definitely keep heads up high

phe 1 v inter 5
neutral supporters view , not ties to either club , just went up there for a look
inter soaked up the pressure and just hit on the break
phe had a player sent off , about 15 minutes to go , think it was 3-1 then
scrappy game, nowhere near the standard of the downs gardens cup game the week before , inter a well deserved win in the end made easier by the fact that phe were far more interested in bagging the ref than playing the game
i thought the ref was ok and its no wonder that the amateur league cannot get referees
the amount of abuse he copped from from phe fans and players , well, the fifty bucks or whatever it is aint worth it
1 thing was very noticeable , no team spirit shown by phe , no geeing each other up or that kind of thing , very individualistic
the fact that the inter keeper was perhaps a little suspect under the high ball semed lost on phe until right at the end of the game
they should have been getting wide and crossing a lot more rather than trying to pass it thru the middle on what looked a pretty bumpy pitch

The only comment you got right in that whole ramble is that yes there is no team spirit at the moment at Para Hills East.
Score line flattered inter alot! best goals were their first & last.

just calling it as i saw it, imo if phe had used up half the energy they wasted on the ref on actually playing the game they may have had a better result
lose 5-1 and blame the ref ? thats a long bow to draw
i didnt see any game turning wrong decisions by the ref ? certainly not to cause the amount of abuse he copped
and even if he was purely cheating , asif that doesnt preclude phe from showing a bit of team spirit and making some rather obvious basic tactical decisions

Red card? Last man? On the wing? Ring any bells.
Wilson already on a yellow, takes his shirt off & no second yellow, joke!
Then at the end of the game he says to the ref & i quote " thanks for not sending me off ref " & then he says " no worries mate "!
I have no complaints about East losing cause we didnt deserve to but come on the ref was terrible, all you want is fairness.

Would like to say thanks to Vista for the BBQ after the game and also would like ot mention that their Bs ref best one we have seen all year, including our own! Good bunch of people down there. I think they appreciate good football and they saw a great display in the second half, well from one side anyway.Chestnut wrote:Vista vs Pontian - Vista took it too Pontian in the 1st half, were unlucky to concede an own goal, then Pontian hit the post, apart from that Vista had the better of the 1st half, couple of one-on-one chances not scored.......2nd half, probably best not too comment as wasn't playing. Different side came out after half time and unfortunately Pontians class and "simpleness" on the ball showed up and it looked like a stroll in the park. Pontian will hold there own in Div 1 next year, good bunch of guys, games played in good spirit.
I thought you had some half chances in the later stages of the first half some were well saved by the keeper! Nice to see your coach come in after the game and shake hands with our players and invite us in the club rooms for a drink.
Once again thanks Vista and good luck for the rest of the year.

Knights v Plympton
Was a nice day for a game
Both Plympton A's and B's battled hard all day - B's referee was poor (we got a retired official ref!) giving bizzare decisions for both teams. Knights had some very good players coming back from injury and thought they just deserved it in the end, couple of great goals
In the A's we never got out of second gear, whilst Plympton never stopped trying. Pitch was shocking for both teams but probably worked more in Plympton's favour. At the end of the day 1-1 was a fair result with some good chances for both teams going begging - no excuses or complaints

Megabonus, it's amazing how we all view our own side through "rose petal glasses" hey?
FYI, the coach subbed himself at h/t coz he twinged an injury in the warm up...tried to run it off but couldn't so dragged himself before any further damage. Why was he warned by the ref? Coz one of your boys goes down behind play, ref doesn't see anything but books him anyway. Your boys could have gone down all day with no-one near you and he would have booked our players till the cows came home even if he didn't see it...coz we all know your boys don't dive.
Radic's tackle was bad, but it was amazing how the player tackled, and all his team-mates and your bench all squealed like babies - once the card was produced, the player got up and jogged off unhurt. Amazing. Asian Cup stuff at its best!
The ref had already lost control by then, not punishing a couple of tackles from behind by your boys plus a couple off the ball incidents like when your player threw the ball into Radic's head.
How about when we caught you on the break for possibly our last chance to salvage a draw and he called the play back for a foul - thanks mate, ever heard of "play the advantage"? Could have booked the guy later, but this way he made sure we lost.
But the classic was when he saw it fit to come to the rescue of your 6ft plus keeper, who copping a bit of lip from a 12 year old standing behind the fence of his goal had a sook and the ref ordered the kid to move. This must be a new FIFA rule, and all grounds will no longer allow any supporters to be behind a goal...especially those threatening 12 year old hooligans. FFS . Yep, the ref was terrific.
But shiit happens...we have an agreement with the Amateur League to win the title of most undisciplined team in our Division, and to pay for the end of year presentation night with our fines.

The refs name was dave if i remember correctly. Old bloke grey hair(aren't they all)!
I dont mind bad refs, coz i've become accustomed to them in the amatuer league. But since when is it an indirect free kick for swearing?? Then i was mouthing off to him (not unusual) and he tells me it's bullshit! Now that really got me pissed off! Wilson should have been sent of about 3 times in the second half. But nothing! I thought it was very one sided reffing, but we may not have done ourselves any justice by giving him a fair bit of abuse. You can only take so much though.
I dont usually comment of refs, coz normally they do a substandard job, but thats as good as it gets and i can take that.
Inter deserved the win all in all, but it does take the wind out of your sails when it becomes that bias.
Easties really need a result to get back to our winning ways and hopefully push farm and downs till the last game of the season.

Megabonus, my original posts were in reference to the referees. If you can't see my point, thats your problem. I never said your lot came to play dirty...your words not mine.
The first 15 minutes of that match we copped a few bad tackles - the ref couldn't find his red card then but seemed to have no problem when we committed a bad foul. Consistency just ain't there.
Your lot obviously need to lift their game as you're obviously sitting at the bottom of the "Div 2 Most Undisciplined Table".

'technically' ur right, but is hacking not the same as playing dirty?!?!

I think Inter played a fair game on Sunday, they obviously were the better team on the day. I don't follow either Inter or easties but i thought Inter deserved to win. they were strong on there defence. I think the ref was fair, didn't think he was favouring either teams. I don't think the Ref should be blamed for your loss easties, i think you just have to accept the fact Inter bet you.

Mate, you are a dreamer if you don't think that was a penalty. And if you're gonna foul someone who is through on goal, you don't really give the ref an option but to give a red.BADA BING wrote:Last man hack turn it up Leethal, it was a mere bump of the ball and the wanka ref overreacted by issueing a red card and a penaltyLeethal wrote:Sunday Div 3

San Marco had a player red carded in the first half for a last man hack in the box which also resulted in a Payneham penalty. They were already 1 goal down. The converted penalty made it 2. Payneham were 2-0 up at half time and won another penalty for handball in the second half. 3-0 final result.

They did?? I can see why, Macedonia certainly are the form team of Div 3 with there 1 point and 0 goals from the last 2 games. Playing the team who are 3rd bottom I am sure Munno Para were delighted with a 0-0 draw :?Handy_man wrote:div 3
