Where you at the game robbo?

It was a good game, up and down. Djoko took his chances well. Cracking goal for his third, on a tight angle and on his wrong foot.

You guys had two 1-1 chances when you were 2-1 up. If you'd scored, it probably would have burried the game. Even though it felt like we lost three points, I thought a draw was a fair result.
Well Done today to you Redders and USC Lion. You guys knock the ball around well and try to play football. We were a little ordinary and really only played in parts today. Your first goal was a little controvesial but the ball was definately in play. I know this because I was the one running the line and made the call. Djoko's second was definately offside only for the ref to waive me down. When I asked him after the game why he did, he said that he wasn't off when the ball was played. Yet he was looking at the run, he was looking at where the ball game from. Djoko's third goal was very well taken. He just turns in and out really well and has a great shot on him. We really should of scored one of those one on ones. We scored our third with about 10 seconds left. Such a strange game because we should of won, should of lost and was lucky to get a point. Well done though played in good spirit.

The B's we solid without being great. Really should of being able to win that game 12-13 nil but didn't quite gel today. Highlight of the game had to be my goal right at the end of the game. 35 yard pile drive in the top corner. Well a yard shot in the bottom corner but close enough.
Well done to your ref today also. Did a really good job and was very fair. Cheers to Lion and your hospitality. Good luck Drago for the rest of the year.

Yeh I was there mate - didnt see you redders?? Were you playin, didnt pick you up on the pitch ??

I was standing on the far side with all my friends - ball kept goin out over there, so tried to help out.

Djoko absolutely killed us. Bloody hell he played well. Hat-trick and was easily BOG.

We had our chances, missed them and you guys fought back impressively after that.

Last kick of the game to get a draw for us, was a god game to watch..

If I didn't have a go at Lynny all week for not passing me the ball last week, he wouldn't of squared it today. :D

the following comment is being made with a 'straight bat'.

"the raptors are just happy that they are able to compete at the highest level the club has ever been. there are still 5 games to go and every single one of them will be keenly contested. we will take one game at a time and will never disrespect an oppenent"

i think thats 5 cliches in the one comment!!!

Excellent work Berbatov, what about the B's ?

ummm no fights there either, it was actually a pretty entertaining game, BL went up 3-0, bosna brought it back to 3-2 and looked like they were about to get atleast a draw, but then that very quick forward for BL ( either that or Bosna are unfit lol) scored again to make it 4-2, oh and one of the BL players looked like he got into a fight with a lawnmoer
Berbatov, my lad thought the reserve game was 5-2 (mind you he is not very good at maths) but he did mention that the game was played in good spirit. To be honest I was a bit worried about it but good to hear no problems.

Great win for Salisbury Inter - well done Stewy.

bit of a form slump on the weekend jay. due to a few injuries have had to move the squad around.still been keeping plenty of possesion, just lacking that final ball at the moment. the next 3 weeks will make or break our season, we have raptor, pontians and gully. i think we can get back on track though.
would also like to thank the pumas boys for hanging around for a drink. and supporting our new bbq through the day

A's: MSSC Blue Eagles 2 - 0 Para Hills Lions
B's: MSSC Blue Eagles 0 - 1 Para Hills Lions

Another good win against a resolute PHL side. The Lions are not a bad side, but play so defensively and with only one up front. I think if they actually played with a more attacking frame of mind, they would cause more trouble.

Vista vs Pontian - Vista took it too Pontian in the 1st half, were unlucky to concede an own goal, then Pontian hit the post, apart from that Vista had the better of the 1st half, couple of one-on-one chances not scored.......2nd half, probably best not too comment as wasn't playing. Different side came out after half time and unfortunately Pontians class and "simpleness" on the ball showed up and it looked like a stroll in the park. Pontian will hold there own in Div 1 next year, good bunch of guys, games played in good spirit.

"The tackle was side on and was not 2 footed, whether he got the ball or not I couldn't see from my angle but opinions seemed to be divided on that. Whether he got the ball or not it was a legitimate attempt to tackle and there was no intent to injure, it was just unfortunate what happened. Our number 5 is one of the fairest players going around and was quite upset about it."

Not as upset as the guy who is lying in hospital with pins and screws holding his leg together!!!

I was 3 meters away from it at most and there is NO WAY IN HELL it was a side on tackle. No.5 came out of the 18-yard box head on into Andy.

As I've said, I don't believe that No.5 meant to hurt him and I'm glad to hear that he is upset with the results of his challenge. My point is that it was a stupid two footed front on tackle!

Just one of those games. I thought the Lion played very well. They play a simple and effect game of soccer, they don't waste there time flicking the ball around, every pass is an attempt to hit feet therefore they hardly waste possession. The Farm missed very easy chances to go 3-1 and at the end of the day we were lucky to walk away with a draw. I don't want to harp on about the second goal being offside because the Lion played very well and deserve the credit for getting themselves back into the game. Farm can only blame themselves for not walking away with the three points.

Well done to Lion and in particular Djoko on a very well taken hat trick.
Sunday Div 3

A's San Marco 0 - Payneham Post tel 3

B's San Marco 3 - Payneham Post tel 1

San Marco had a player red carded in the first half for a last man hack in the box which also resulted in a Payneham penalty. They were already 1 goal down. The converted penalty made it 2. Payneham were 2-0 up at half time and won another penalty for handball in the second half. 3-0 final result.
Last man hack turn it up Leethal, it was a mere bump of the ball and the wanka ref overreacted by issueing a red card and a penalty

I was just as close mate and your memory of the tackle nico seems somewhat fuzzy. Andy lost control dribbling towards the box and our #5 came out for a 50/50 challenge... a legitimate tackle (certainly wasn't two footed, and definitely not studs up) and unfortunately someone was seriously hurt. Those sorts of tackles happen several times a game and it was just an unfortunate football incident.

We're all wishing Andy makes a speedy recovery and we hope to see him back on the park next year.
