Aus V Japan...Will the kick off time defeat us??

Post by limozeen »

We're back to the early kick off (7:50 CST). We have performed very badly at this time, possibly due to the heat.

Can we overcome it this time or will the early start be our downfall again?

It's not the heat that got us. Sure, it didn't help but remember that these guys are professionals. They get to paid a lot of money to perform and in most cases that means that their performance deserves it. You won't see Kisnorbo being paid 100k punds a week because he is just, to put it mildly, not good enough.

The way Australia tends to approach its opponents is embarassing. We are stronger while Japan have more flair. And flair will prevail most of the times. We play like a battering ram, slow but strong. Lots of high balls hoping somebody will get to it. No direction, to vision just plain old school style. I am annoyed at that. Instead of focusing on the ball and control it I get the feeling that most of our players just pass it so they get rid of it. And when a player puts some creativty then it doesnt work out coz others dont get it.

I say get rid of Arnold and bring in someone who knows their stuff.

The key for Australia keep the ball and control the tempo. The team that chases the opposition more in the game will lose. Hope the Australian players play smart with smart selections this time.

Yea totally agree. Australia need to score the first goal in my opinion. if they do this then this sets us up for a win.

But sometimes the winning team tends to defend there lead. which could be dangerous because the other team will keep attacking and will end up scoring. but that's when we can work off the counter attack and score
