Hey I have run out of milk..............another interesting tale from Pecker Park.

Who cares whether the Grove are on top now.............I look forward to you posting that you come in third down the track!

Now for you Bosnians.......why the heck cant you live in a suburb like everyone else. Why does the league allow Bosnians, Croatians, Africans etc to play for their country? You dont see it called the Pommy Peckers do you. Thats why these teams fight for their life, cause they think they are fighting for their country not their local community.
So should all these Amatueur clubs change their names and forget about their history and groups of people that started these clubs?

AFRICA UTD ALLSTARS
SALISBURY FLORINA
USC LION
ADELAIDE CROATIA
PONTIAN EAGLES
ADELAIDE ASTERAS
MAIWAND S/C
POLONIA S/C
AGUILA
BEOGRAD SC
ADELAIDE OMONIA
MACEDONIA
SALISBURY INTER
ADELAIDE BUDAPEST
EA PATRIOTS

Generally you will find that just because the name of the club has an ethnic flavour to it, it doesnt mean that players and supporters of different backgrounds aren't welcome. In my personal experience I, and my family have been treated better at these clubs than any "pommy" clubs I've played for. Perhaps its your own perception that needs changing not the club's names!

I have no problem with history, but if I reflect back on the years and the teams played where trouble errupted greater than a shirt tug its when you play Teams that are playing for their flag.

I think it would take a load of the racism that is creeping into our beautiful game out - this is supported by what the old NSL did. Sure keep the history but at least bring down the divides!

man i understand your plight but dont think the name has fk all to do with it....i play for a team with a name associated with a country and to be honest there is more poms/aussies playing for the club than natives of that country.... dikeds are dikeds regardless of the club name...im sure lion tamer will agree

we were quite happy it was posponed coz we wernt half the team then and the pitch was actually in far better condition before the recent rains so they played on a worse pitch against a better team and although they'll be hard to catch they know they were lucky to take the points.....just ask the celtic boys who watched :D

Blue nose the grove have an over 35s side this year.

Yea i watched the Macos grove game and i have to agree it could have went either way.
first half to the Grove second to Macos.
a draw would have been a fair results. but grove put the ball in the net.

I enjoyed the game.
You are more than welcome to Bring It On.

the pitch was in a much better state than it was last time. it was even and they swept the sand of the pitch which made it alot better if the pitch was like that the first time we would have played. we also knew that you had a lot of injuries that day but at the grove our players safety is our priority.

i thought the game on the weekend was fairly even and played in a good spirit. maso will cause some trouble to the rest of the top sides this season.
I look at the great Liverpool Team. I think they won about eight League
Championships, and four European Cups. Compared to them I have done nothing
in the game" - Roy Keane

lets leave the past were it belongs...... i personally thought it was a great game and hung in the balance right to the end with us chasing a goal which didnt come...... thought it was a great contest enjoyed by the players and spectators alike....look forward to the return leg next week...... you didnt take that penalty did you????
