Not sure about other clubs but Djoko should get a mention. He's been playing with injuries all year and still the leading goalscorer.

Russel Hunt
Alan Travica

are other players who deserve a mention.

This is the thing, Eric Norman who in my opinion isnt a good coach (Why isnt he coaching a club) has the ability to go and watch teams play on Saturdays and Sundays at whatever Division he wants doesnt do this and picks a team on Names or Ex Federation players. The team should be picked on more structure than Names. With Trials or at least training sessions to be held.

Im interested to see the team he picks if he is the coach!

Eric is a great coach
He is very different to all the other state coaches
Because he does not pick the form or the best players he picks a TEAM
He has coached 2 state teams in 2 titles 1 in Melb and the other in Perth and he came home with the trophy ( No other coach has won 1 outside of SA)
His teams were a group of players who in his opinion would win the championship.
AND THEY DID
Good luck in TAS

the 2 previous tournaments that he won , most people doubted a lot of players who he picked but they won both times. at one he took 3 keepers in a 16 man squad!!! and they won..he was the last person to take campbaltown to the title so his experience is there..deserves another go but should pick squad of 30 and cut it down after trials

Defintely right there Redders - how can these other players be mentiond but not Djoko who is scoring goals.

Answer is State Team comprises 95% players from the Northern suburbs based teams.

Before every1 has a go the Downs should be represented well cos they r top as are most of the northen based clubs but from Fulham we have 1 player who won Div 2 player of the year last year and when in Div 1 always plays well and polls well - has been around for a while and consistently played well - Anthony Petracarro and has never been asked out to train with a State Team squad.

How can someone say Neil Childs - just started playing again - is a gypsy - changes clubs like his undies.

Why would him changing clubs stop you putting him in a state team? it shows he can adapt to diferent players very quickly, or is it youre concerned he might change states half way through the comp? Dont worry, the only time he changes states is on saturday nights!!
Childsy for skipper!!

i agree, if Childsy is good enough, why not pick him. There is no rule saying you must of played the whole season. He would of being playing at Florina a month ago if he didn't have to wait for his clearance to go through.

Just to throw some Ingle Farm names in the mix, Robbie Greenwood has been a stand out in goals. Chris Ennis has found some great form in the last 6-8 weeks. His brother Dave doesn't stop running, old man Leon has run the midfield well. Jones, Alby and Brad Donavan have been class for most of the year. Of course this is a very unbiased view :P

It the trip is paid for by the league then I also think I should get a run!!!

It seems as though only Sunday players would be in the starting 11 - should there be a separate Saturday team or at least trials? Most teams have a gun player or two...

Adelaide Villa and Stirling have a couple of great players that would be worth a look
