Ingle Farm V Para Hills East
A's
Didn't get to see any of this game due to working the bar. I was told that we played well and dominated most of the game. We won 2 penalities but only scored one. Easties had a lot of players out which would of hurt them but I guess 11 go out there against 11. Farm are doing well but must not sit back and think that they will win every game from here on in. Lion, Downs, Gardens, Vale, Florina and Westies will be much harder this time than last.

B's
Not the best game from the B's at all and we really struggled to keep possession of the ball. East had some good chances to score but missed a couple and our keeper made some good saves. East were a bit sloppy in defence though and we were able to take our chances. Need to play a lot better next week against Vista. 3 of the players that played yesterday are cup tied so will make for a difficult game on the tiny Vista pitch.

C's
Thanks to Easties for allowing us to use their pitch. Due to the slope and the poor drainage, our pitch was pretty water logged. We thought 3 games would cut the pitch up to much and the A team game would be canned. The guy who looks after our pitch, the B team ref, a team ref and myself all thought the best idea was to not play it. It annoyed a few of our boys but at least the pitch gets a weeks rest now so we should be alright for the rest of the season. Well done to the boys for getting a point to. Easts were getting some good results so was good to take a point off them.

Thanks to the East boys for having a drink after the game. Good to see another club that didn't bring drinks to the game. Good luck for the rest of the season to you guys.

Cheers Jay. You seem to be building a nice club there. Getting more and more supporters there everytime we meet you guys. As i said in my earlier post you guys definatley derserved the win and did have most of the possesion. Our injuries and suspensions definatley came in the woring time of the year. We played with a few players who weren't 100% fit, but thats life. Both of us needed a result out of yesterdays game and we can only hope both us beat the downs to make the tittle race much more interesting.
God knows what donovan was thinking with his penalty though.  He tried a very cheecky chip and it went over the bar!! He better cop it from your lads, coz it could just come down to goal difference at the end.
Tough run home for everyone now!

Pathetic refereeing in both a's and bs today away at ISC... ISC raptor was a blatant cheat allowing a raptors goal in the last ten minutes that was clearly at least 1.5 meters offside even after the linesman flagged... think he needs to brush up on the rulebook too! At the end of the day, Vista should have come away with three points even without this goal... scoreline should have been 5-1 really but way too many chances wasted.

A's referee was atrocious from the outset. giving many soft free kicks and lost control of the game early. Think he started to give the 50-50 balls against us coz of some mouthing off which was to be expected with a dismal display.

Vista will live another day!

They were ok, deserved their win. The conditions were poor and i haven't seen Stirling play worst.

For a top of the table Saturday Div 1 clash, i was pretty disappointed. Watching that performance id say both teams would struggle in Sunday div 1.

Chestnut wrote:Vista V Raptors - 2-4.....here goes, first off, well played to Raptors, killed us in the 1st half, Vista looked out of sorts, going 2-0 down very easy to simple goals, got one back (after having a goal disallowed by opposing linesman when our player ran ON to the ball, hence meaning was onside when the ball was played), Raptors scored a 3rd, possible offside however our linesman which i trust so all is good. After half time, Vista scored a 2nd which really lifted the side, had other chances however great saves from goal keeper, which resulted in goal kicks!!!!, Raptors killed the game off with a 4th. Game played in good spirits, good banta, good bunch of lads........Not going to get started on the ref, he knows he had a massive influence on the game, at least 6 yellow cards for Vista, unpunished fouls by Raptors, even the Raptors players were amazaed with how much that got given. Just going to leave it at that, extremely hard to stay focussed when you get given nothing and you wait 80mins of a game, then ask a player to take his wedding ring off, shocking, ill leave it at that
Cheers buddy... Vista Defence caught standing still - Nothing i could do mate, you dont win respect from cheating. Well done to the Raptors boys good luck for the rest of the season!

Inter 2 - Fulham 2

Fulham had a goal disallowed and hit the cross bar in last 10 mins when it was 2-2.

Inter down to 10 men last 25 mins.

At least Fulham has stopped the rot and with 2 or 3 players to come back from injury for the next game against Vale in 2 weeks our destiny is still in our own hands.

A's

Para Hills West 4 - Lion 2

What the hell u doing to us Redders???
Good result for us, Thanks Bigpond,

Jump above Inter and outta bottom two for first time his year,

Unfortunately Redders didnt do alot except commentate the whole match from on the pitch.

Westies 4 Lion 2,

Spiby Hatrick, two well taken goals by Djoko,

Deserved winners today
Bigpond,

Im basically a curse. I played for Westies earlier in the year and was in the losing side 4-2. I play for Lion yesterday and was in the losing side 4-2. I hear that Lion want to get rid of me to Farm, for the Farm clash.

Mr X,

Unfortunately, i cant say much because you've won, well done. Although, my commentary did reveal that PHW's#7 didnt do much in the game either. Well done to the other 10 boys from Westies, who all played top games. It was basically a ten man Westies side that totally outplayed us yesterday. I would hate to think of the scoreline if that number #7 didnt play for them. If they drop that #7 they should be certainties this weekend in the cup. :P

Croatia 1

was 1-1 at half time and the player/coach of Croatia was sent off for his second bookable offence, first one for mouthing off at the ref second blantant challage on our striker. Scored second goal and then things got a little nasty with more silly challengers and more yellow cards. second player sent off for second bookable offence and the a substitute didnt get a freekick so he thought he would take out the next Pontian player near a ball a got himself sent off with a straight red. Their coach wanted his players to walk off at this stage score was 3-1 with about 10 min to go. Then another Croatian player sent off , 2 yellow, for kicking the ball away after freekick awarded to Pontians( why do that we your 3-1 downand the ref is giving cards away like their Mc Donalds valchours ). Then Croatian coach told players to walk off which they did. I thought the ref was OK all cards were there and he allowed for the play to continue if there was an advantage in play or he brought it back if there wasnt.

Funny thing is he was the same ref we had against the Southern Knights in the first game so we knew he was tempramental and we made a note to keep our mouths shut. he has refed us for 2 games this year and not one has finshed in normal time!

He is the worst referee I have ever seen he could cause a fight in a telephone box he just has no idea didn't see the game but feel for Croatia i'm sure it wasn't as bad as 4 send off's

it was pretty dissapointing really coz after they beat us at our ground they all hung around and drank us out of coronas and had a good time.....like most teams that have trouble it appears to be people outside the playing group which do the damage......all i can say is its disgraseful especially when there are women and kids present to watch grown men in an all in after a game of amateur soccer...... and the pitch is like a skating rink....not even studs made much difference ......

Vista weren't good enough on the day to win.
Picked up afew cards, which we do in those types of games.
And we abuse our own b's ref so why shouldn't we abuse away b's refs.
Maybe ours isn't so bad after all.

   Im not that old!!!!

i dont think anyone in an official capacity with the raptors is having a dig (there are some on here whose identity is not known), its just that the club works hard to build a positive image (like most clubs do) and the first thing some of your boys on here do is have a go at the ref (who once again over ruled our linesman on an off-side decision an then you scored - i bet that doesnt happen too often!!).

what counts is that the coaches got together for a drink with players and the ISC committee played the perfect hosts!!!!![/quote]

I thought at the time the RAPTORS equaliser went in we were hard done by, but by the time I got to the change room I thought, "thats football". Our first goal was offside, maybe only half a metre, thats why the ref played on. So, on the balance of things, the draw was a fair result. Too many wasted chances in the first half cost us, and the players know that! Thats why we didnt win the game! The red card was deserved, I've been given straight reds for those type of challenges (one on that very pitch!!!) And I'm very grateful for the card not going in. Raptors, you were very good hosts, and well done to the boys on the BBQ, best in the league so far! :) Cheers for the beer MEGA see u next year!

Just for the record - is it true that the Downs over 35s seem to be a goalscoring machine this season? Heard that the weekend was their third victory this season that they have scored 10 or more..............

B's had another solid performance. 2-0 up at the break until some forced changes had to made for the A's. Knights attacked solidly for the first 20 or so of the 2nd half and got one back but then we struck again with 5-10 remaining to seal the win & keep us perched on top.

A's played quite well in the 1st half although being 0-1 at the break. Played well I thought in the first half for no reward. 2nd half was brilliant. Wave after wave of attacks on the Knights goal and Del Boy had a ripper. I've seen him score some cracking hat-tricks but this one has to be one of his best. 2 perfectly placed in the top corners on opposite feet and then a 25 yard stunner. Much needed 3 points i think everyone would agree
Would have been much more appreciated had he done it against pontians a few weeks ago. Did Del boy play against the knights in the first round or was he just marked out of the game.

Perhaps the best hat-trick ive ever seen at amatuer level.....all class strikes with not one being inside the 18 yard box.

I agree with you there mexican. He's scored some crackers but this hat-trick is his best that ive seen i reckon. First 2 were all about the placement then the last had the placement & the power.

I think almost everyone after the game wanted to buy him a beer actually. It was a much needed win. :D
