Yesterday i seen some absolute disgraceful refereeing!!!
the referee at the inter fulham game wasnt that good everytime i turned around there was a fight. Thats the first sign of a referee loosing control of the game. the ref at florina downs was not far off of a disgrace. Doesnt matter how bad the foul is if ur the last defender and u make a foul on some1 and the attacker is on the way to goals its an instant send off. mr braithwaite struggled to stand up straight never mind trying to run, his tupee kept getting into his eyes. the downs copped a couple of soft yellows and florina copped some soft free kicks against them. i know for a fact that u need to pass a fitness test to become a referee. dont get me wrong thought there are some good referees Mr Steve "Kaboubi" (sorry steve) Vlatsis is always good and fair. When i do referee a game i am honest and fair i dont see any point in cheating because it will spoil our beautiful game in the long run. (Isnt that right u dirty daygo in the c grade at florina worst dive ever). Whats ur opinion on this boys???

The Spick forgot to mention the absolute disgrace that was the Florina Linesman..............Referee was pretty awful but it probably evened out but there was no excuse for the linesman.

Guys. In all the years I have played amateur league football both here and in the UK the one consistency is the poor standard of refereeing, especially if you are the away team. The other main consistency is that the more abuse the ref receives the worse he becomes towards the perpetrators. Even with a bad referee if you concentrate on playing the game and beating the other team instead of dwelling on the decisions that go against you then guess what ? If you're good enough you'll win anyway.
The more crap we give amateur league referees the less the number of people who will want to referee matches and we all suffer even more.

I must say the last 4 weeks in the A's we've had good referee's against Vikings, Pontians, West Beach and yesterday against Gully, it's unfortunate that there's so few referee's and you get to know the really bad ones. I think you are therefore expecting them to be bad which makes marginal decisions seem worse

referees have just lost it!!!
how can you give someone a red card because he didnt wait for the referees whistle wile taking a free kick thats a joke!!!
Maybe 1 in 4 games that there is actually a good referee, stooges use should go and do more courses.

The game in question was the C grade. And all fair to say that the more abuse a ref recieves, the more he will give against you.

The penalty was given about 10 minutes in, if not sooner. The the guy clearly took a dive, looked like an army roll. and fielding a team of anly 10 men for us du to injury, you have to hope that stuff like this dont happen. With about 20 to go we then went down to 9 men, and still were on top of the match.

Also for this poor ref, just before half time, we were awarded a corner. The corner came over, was cleared to the edge of the box where or midfield passed it left to out stricker who put the ball into the back of the net. Just before striking it however, their ref blew for half time, and therefore disallowed the goal. I though that half and full time could not be blown up in the middle of an attacking play.

Also Flourina. football has a substitution rule, not interchange. Why would you even suggest to play interchange when we only had a 10 man team. Down definately best team in the game. but hopefully Flourina catch parafield.

Time should be time, regardless of where the ball is. I've seen games when free kicks or corners have been awarded, and the the whistle blown before the ball is back in play. I find that more odd to time being blown when the ball is in play

In Perth the first teams and reserves play substitution, but the C teams usually play in the "social" league and that has an interchange rule. These rules should be in place before the season kicks off and adhered too, depending on the rule of the league in question.

I agree it is odd to suggest a change against a team who is short on players to begin with, but think it would be odd to ask a team who was full strength if the rules of the competition are already in place

You'd have to have a pretty thin skin to find that offensive. I've seen worse written on here lately and apart from posts and topics being deleted no action has been taken towards individuals responsible.

knight knight knight. the ref's in the knights v's beach game's were woeful. not the reason for the results but woeful. dont think the ref in the ressies could see more than 10 feet, and the a's ref couldnt keep up with the game. the penalty he gave was a disgrace. but like i said, neither made a difference to the results. the better teams won.

b's ref at least sent off his own and a swinging downs player..florina scored fairly downs scored fairly..and your player missed a sitter 6 yards out open goal mouth no keeper and put it wide with 10 to go..you had your chance to win the game and blew it..don't blame us for not winning and farmers catching ya by two points...
we have copped our fair share of bad ref decisions away..what everyone has to deal with due to lack of refs..i'm sure they don't want to do it..

I didnt think we were blaming the ref for the draw in the b grade. think the comment was that he was shocking. We dint have much go right for us that day in the playing sence, but the game was there to be won, and it want taken.

Get over yourself mate. Its the Cs game that was a disgrace by you guys.
