A couple of teams we have played in the cup this year have played cup tied players, but we flogged them, so it didn't matter... however if we had lost, what is the right of appeal in that situation?

According to the rule, each team is allowed to view the opposing team passes before the game and at half time. If a player is found to be inelegible to play, eg he was suspended, the referee has to be notified either during the game or at the end of it. He will then notify the league.

The match officials do not check player passes; they only take hold of them with the team sheets prior to kick-off. Passes are returned to the Club after the game except those of players who have been sent off, which are onforwarded to the League's Disciplinary Committee. If a club suspects that a player on the opposing team is ineligible to play, it needs to approach the match officials prior to kick-off, do the checks itself and notify the match officials no later than the recommencement of the second half.
