S. Greaves - instrumental in the growth and development of modbury vista's senior setup. did all the extra things that coaches shouldnt be responsible for ie. organising sponsorship, club jackets, playing strips, presentation nights etc. did more than just coach the side. brought us to division 2 and showed people we can be competitive in this division. he has a great footballing mind and doesnt forget the simple things in football that seem to be forgotten these days. had the respect of all the players from day one and a great character on and off the pitch. has showed and coninues to show faith and support in the younger lads at the club. Cheers Gaffer.....

with the support of the committee and the players at tea tree gully B. French will do good things at the club. did well with florina, a very switched on man with a good footballing head, has the respect of all his players and leads by example.

That doesn't suprise me as i played with him when i was 16 and he was in the reserves and he always had time for the younger guys like myself and it was obvious the guy knew how to play the game and was only to happy to pass it on which is rare.(Something i think the young guys don't get a fed level these days due to Under 23's).mackem in blue wrote:S. As others have posted Keith Ryan is also a good coach in regards to his record of winning trophies. Lets face it though you dont really coach at senior level you more or less keep people motivated as i think that if you ahven't learnt or been coached how to play the game by the ages 12-15 after that its really too late.

to win titles regularly you need to be a good motivator also a good coach, organiser, have discipline, usually develop a good list over time, have a bit of luck, know the opposition helps, thats what keith ryan, earl pudler, gerry pettit have in common, and motts looks like hes on his way to adding his name to the above distinguished list. fortunately i played under 2.
