Plympton Bulldogs vs Modbury Vista

A's - 2-3
Tough game in the end with plympton having their chances to level at the end but i would say possession would have been probably 60-40 to vista as they controlled most of the game. Plympton have improved since round one in my opinion but are still struggling.

B's - 3-1
Dissapointing result for the Vista boys today. Controlled the game for the first 15 minutes but after that nothing really looked promising.

Munno Para vs Vista C
2-1

Vista D lost against Elizabeth Downs but not sure of score

Image

Some interesting results in both div 1 and 2 so far. Didnt expect gardens to go down that much to downs - maybe the cup round might no be such a blockbuster! Good to see farm pump fulham coz i cant wait to hear from fishpond. Fulham have been terrible so far this season looking at some results and look like they are struggling to keep u.

Looking good for my tips this week too as i picked the draw with knights vs Pontian. Cant wait for your post again on Monday eve Redders.

Vista
Coffin Dodgers 1 Downs 3 (Div 10)
C's 1 Munno Para 2 (Div 9)
B's 1 Bulldogs 3
A's 3 Bulldogs 2

Bad day for the 3 out of 4 teams today, the reserves never looked like they were in the game until 'Ole Gunnar Sherman' stepped up with a goal
The A's pretty much controlled the game against a determined Bulldogs, a great 1st halgf performance though by us saw us go in 3-1 at half time.
Great hospitality from the doggies and both games played in good spirits.
Cheers for the beer Canine, best of luck for the season but I reckon you will be ok.
See you next season
The young boys said unto him....."go up baldhead, go up"......so he did, rose like a salmon and nodded the ball into the net......1 nil! :-)

Knights got a good draw in the A's Pontian can consider themselves a bit unlucky but we could have sneaked it at the end

The B's got revenge in more ways than one was a tight game with not one bad tackle

A's

Ingle Farm 5 - Fulham 0

Simply Farm too good on the day.

Desire and attack on the ball much better.

2 goals in 1st 15 mins killed us - too bad for the Farms slow start to the season otherwise they could have been closer to the top - I thought they were a better all round outfit than the Downs.

B's

I hate the fact that some refs make you take off your skins. You are allowed to wear them. There is no rule that says your not allowed to wear skins.
There has been a new rule inforced by FIFA. Any player wearing skinsin a game they must match the teams uniform colour. You are not allowed to wear black skins under red shorts. FIFA rule applies to all leagues and the player is awarded a yellow card or the referee will ask for them to be taken off before a game like in this incident
How does this work? does this mean someone with really black skin is not allowed to wear red shorts either???????
No need to get all racist now come on!
I'm offended that you think im being racist.
How is that racist?? It was a serious question.
you're kidding right?
how can that be a serious question?
its their skin colour for god sake so the same rule about Sports Skins would apply and that is all

you're obviously taking the piss because if you weren't then you'd have to be racist cause you didnt consider then that an anglo couldnt wear blue/red/yellow or any other coloured shorts because they have white skin and it wouldnt match!

twat!

Huh? This is my point, Whoever brought it up in the first place said that someone wearing black skins cant wear red shorts because it doesnt match. So I'm trying to make the point of that your normal skin colour doesnt match your shorts either. So how can wearing black skins with Red shorts be any different to someone who had naturally black skin with red shorts. Its the same thing as if i was here talking about those knee braces or strapping that matches white coloured people. I'm not being racist, its just that the example given was black skins with red shorts. And Im countering it.

Thought we played okay in patches again today but conceeded that 3rd goal just at the wrong time. Thanks to the Vista lads for hanging around for a few beers after the game, another game v vista played in good spirits this year. "Chestnut" scored a cracker from Vista today from 50 yards out, dont let him relive the story and tell you it was any further out tho (had to laugh tho when he fell over durin his celebration :) )

P.S - carra23 was seen leaving the Vista changerooms post game with an empty carton of Curly Wurlies!.

Re: FLORINA 2-3 PHE

Post by Uncle Cracker »

eric the great wrote:Good game from easties today considering they had three key players out. Eoin, Wade and Vidacks. PHE dominated the first half up 3-0 at the break. It could have been more hitting the cross bar and a few other clear cut chances put to waste. It was Florina's half in the second having the majority of the play. Florina hit the post as well as scoring two goals. Florina's second was clearly offside and the ref played 7 minutes of time on but East held on for a deserved win. Florina were hard at the ball but fair, played the game in the right spirit. They will be a good challenge for the Downs next week. Good luck to both teams for the rest of the year.
Well done to Easties, deserved their win today.

All the best for the rest of the year.

no, not really knight7.

i try not to comment too much because of my position. having said that, we got absolutely smashed by the pontians last week, no excuses.

i'd like to call it as i see it!!!... and since we dont play the gully again and have taken 4 out 6 points off them i happy to let that stand as a measure of our playing ability (against them).

Sound like the Gully are in trouble. 2 losses in a row. Perhaps you should ask for a refund on the player payments.

Oh my Nora... some catastrophe is happening here... It appears someone has discovered Fishpond's password and is logging in under his name in order to post comments that are fair, reasonable and with no excuses. IF anyone knows Fishpond can they please alert him to let him know of this so he can change his password and we can gte back on our merry little way :D

A's: MSSC Blue Eagles 3 - 0 Polonia
B's: MSSC Blue Eagles 5 - 0 Polonia

Clean sheets for both teams is always a good feeling. It was 0-0 at halftime of the A's game before we steamrolled Polonia with three goals in the second half. Polonia pushed the ball well, but seemed to run out of legs very early.

It was definately that Rooney8. Well hard fought win. Very physical and fast pace. Ben Aldridge kept the score line down a bit too. He played fantastic. Heard he didnt even get a vote in their awards which is a bit surprising. Matt Blackwoods goal is goal of the year. 25 yrd bomb. Gerrad esque.

Good game played great spirits, i said after playing plympton after first game that you guys would stay up, unfortnuately results haven't gone that way but plympton, you guys should be proud of the way you play and the hospitality and banta on and off the field is fantastic, lets hope you guys can get a few more wins under the belt and stay up, hard fought side that challenged in all areas, cheers guys.........Vista had a lot of the ball, some chances not put away, could have been very different if Mr_Football hadn't cleared the ball of the goal line in the first half, had fought win, 3 points Vista..lets continue the form boys..............and canine, after leaving your clubrooms, which are awesome(something we should look into Vista!) and the 5-6 beers had kicked in, my volley was at least 60m-65m out!!!!!!! Thank you for bringing up the fact that, yes, i fell a*rse up, couldn't think of a celebration to do, cos me scoring rarely happens!!!!
