At the end of the day, regardless of the incident, PUMAS were all over Gully. As a Pumas player i was dissapointed with the way everything happened but i would like to focus on the quality soccer our side produced on the weekend and suggest other sides do not under estimate our potential. Gully were outplayed on the day and yes we instigated the incident, therefore i believe a reasonable way to settle this is to have a rematch and which will again hopefully produce some quality soccer.

mackem in blue wrote:i was talking about the home game against royal park a few years ago mate. another gully boy del was playing in that game aswell if i remember correctly  . no black eyes this time mate? i just think its a disgrace, and people wonder why referees are getting scarce, who would want to deal with that shite on a sunday? a replay on a wednesday night at headquarters sounds good, i can have a nice meal at henley followed by watching you belt pumas for the inconvenience! goodluck this week.
Oh yeah I remember that one. Thought thats the one I thought you meant actually. Yeah Del boy was playing for Vista back then aswell. I come off bout 10mins before it all started so no black eyes for me haha. Im starting to realise now why theres not many refs around. I wouldn't put up with that shite on a sunday either. If we do get a reply we'll play alot better than sunday thats for sure. Thanks goodluck to you aswell mate.

Well I wouldn't say Gullie fans are not ferral - come one let's be realistic people. I know this is a family friendly forum but just because the Gullies bring their mums along to games, doesn't exclude them from being ferral. Local bottle shops reported a 30% increase in sales for JD and cola as soon as the Gully faithful hit the area - it must have been dole/pension week!
As for the incident - the fans that ran on the pitch were I beleive were not PUMA's B's players. Feedback has it that 2 spectators went on the pitch with a couple of the B's players followed close by to get them off the pitch .... it spun out of control from the there. The Puma patrons that invaded the pitch have been advised to stay away. But the full trouble broke out when the gully fans came out throwing punches - they were half cut and ready to rumble. A player's from both sides were completely innocent and played the game in a fine competitive spirit. As far as Sunday refereeing goes - decisions were in favour of Gully but generally the game was under relative calm control (well until the pitch invasion). Points should sit with Puma's for winning fair and square.

Shevvy you have absalutly no idea at all. Were you at the game???
I was playing in the Gully Bs and was watching the As and the two d*ck heads that ran on the field during the As game was the same 2 that absalutly lost the plot jumping up and down like feral animals in the Bs game over a decision not going their way (HOW PATHETIC). What Donkeys.

Dude - don't pop a vain in your head over this - there will always be more JD and Cola. Puma's will play you guys again at TTG this time and it happens to be the last game of the season. . The points will stick with the Puma's as they deserved to win. There were people from both sides on the pitch therefore I cannot see the league taking any points away from anyone. TTG were beaten convincingly on the day. Train hard so a better effort can be put in next time!

What kind of club are Pumas anyway. A changeroom that was 500 metres away, had to borrow the Gullies warm up balls because they didn't have a second ball, no clubrooms, ran out of beer by half time and two wankers that invade the pitch and start throwing punches after a MINOR scuffle between two players. Admitted they were the better team on the day and outplayed the Gully on their cow paddock of a pitch. Pumas and gully have a bit of rivalry that goes back a few years but the future of the club is a mystery, how can you expect to generate turnover when there are no facilities.
Hopefully the Gully boys will come out next week with there mind back on the game and get back on track.

Olympiakos & Lance23 cheers lads. Another 2 people who have got on here and said what the storey was.

Schevvy you are a tool. You've got absolutely no idea. Pumas did outplay us on the day. But isnt it convenient that the players who went onto the pitch were just "trying to get the others off"? Did it take you long to think of the dole/pension week & alcohol calls? They were classic!

u all have to relise its amatuer soccer, your all gonna get a bit of the rough stuff.

plus its nt about the pitch or there club rooms or about they browed ttg trainig balls, its about the game and thats all that counts. .

Italian stallion honestly! Could you think any higher of yourself?

Amatuer soccer or not it was a joke. To be honest I cant see the league doing anything about it cos the website has Pumas winning 2-0. Theres not much else to say on the subject if you ask me anyway.

We haven't heard anything yet. This happened in Round 1 aswell between the Knights & Pontians & i dont think anything has happened with that still.

The league are hopeless i think with stuff like this.

Jail birds ha. what and pumas are the best club around (I THINK NOT) atleast we get a whole wide range of supporters that actually like watching the gully play. What do you have, your grandma cooking the BBQ and your feral brothers looking to start fights COME ON. unlike yous Farm animals that play on a pitch where the cows should be roming. we actually have a decent pitch, great club rooms and change rooms, and you dont have to walk 500m to get to them

Exactly right lets go. All you Italian teams are exactly the same. You get all your relatives out every week and thats it. We actually get people who live near our ground and they will walk over to watch. More than i can say for your club.

can't help but think that this topic is getting a tad childish.
1. pumas by all accounts outplayed the gully on the day
2. the league will do jack about the scuffle
3. had the result gone the other way would this topic still be going?
4. mums are aloud to go and watch thier sons play football if they so choose.
5. if pumas had one good player who could only throw the ball then what happened to the hand full of good players the gully had? is there trouble at mill?
6. the gully may of had and missed good chances, as is the case with vista in resent games, its the teams that finish those chances that sit up the top end of the ladder!!!.
7. there's no vegemite for my toast.not happy jan.
this is bulldog signing off.over and out.
