playford cumberland 17As
4-1 i think to cumberland
playford knocked the ball around lovely and had several chances to score including a penalty that went wide but clinical finishing saw cumberland over the line

Great game Modbury could have had another 3
Was driving past and thought I'd pop in for a look. First U/17's game I have watched....must say I thought the standard was quite poor. The dark blue team were unlucky and seemed to be the team who at least tried to play soccer. They looked quite young for their age group. Maybe both teams had an off day...the bbq sausages were more exciting.
modbury were all over south adelaide!!

great counter attacks by both teams down the wings though!!

:D
If Modbury were all over South Adelaide, I wouldn't have thought there was a need for counter attacks. South Adelaide were unlucky not to go one up in the second half. A great save by the keeper kept Modbury in the game at that stage. Also in the first half a great shot from distance only just whistled past the Modbury upright. Perhaps you were watching the footy over the back :?:

As I said, first Under 17's game I have watched. Where are both teams on the ladder. Are you amongst the better teams. If not, who are the better teams in your opinion?

I must have missed all of the answers. Must have been cryptic. Apolgies if you answered the questions and I couldn't find them.

And all of us that do sledge the ref it is because he knows he made a mistake when he called for a penalty when clearly the player fell over the ball and it looked like he was pushed. Plus how could he see it the ref for the whole game never moves from the centre circle. How can you call a desicion when your 30 metres away from the play

The formation we played today was not the same we played with on wednesday night if you were actually at the game.

But in the end thats the way the cookie crumbled and Campbelltown were just not good enough on the day Well Done to Croydon.
Not talking about the sledging for the penalty, that was a dubious penalty at best, but the sledging was there before and after.

Dario was shut down pretty well all day and I can't remember if he actually had a shot on goal. The game plan of him running on to a through ball just didn't work today, and plan "B", if one was there, wasn't really effective. The goal that was scored was executed well, but couldn't be replicated.

The 2nd goal had no pace and the last Campbelltown player that touched it just had to clear it but instead clipped the ball and it spun over the line beside him. He panicked and steered the ball over the line - own goal!

Agree that the ref wasn't up to it today. Watching the 15a's play it was obvious he was never going to keep up with a 17s game. More suited to 12s-14s I would think.
If you saw the game you would know that Dario did score Campbelltowns goal :!:

Since Enfield drew doesn't that mean that Playford are now sitting top of the ladder with 1 game in hand :?:

south are around about 2nd from bottom and modbury are about 4th from bottom(not 100% certain on these positions but around about right). Better teams in the league are :MetroStars, Adelaide City, Birkalla, Adelaide Hills (in my opinion)

Wonder if South U14's would have done any better if a number of their players hadn't just finished playing a full game in U13's.

Has there been a change during the season to allow players to play in two games on the same day as it was confirmed by FFSA at the start of the season that this was against the rules.....

Believe that rule was to be disregarded at request of clubs.

Is this a first :?: Someone complaining about a team playing players up :)
