If the league go on past experience, looks like the Puma's might end up with the win......becoming a interesting tactic for ensuring you get the points!! At what stage during the game was it abandoned ?topcorner wrote:Gully vs Pumas
A's: Game abandoned after Pumas fans invaded the pitch after minor scuffle. They were winning 2-0 at the time!!
B's: Gully 6-0 Pumas
Thoroughly deserved victory by Gully boys, Pumas never threatened!! Good to hit the back of the net to improve our goal difference!!

WestBeach at home today:
Cs 2-0 win over Yankalilla. It was a great result for the C's. Our first clean sheet.
West Beach v Modbury Vista
B's 2-2 draw. We were lucky with this one. own goal by Visa player in the 75th min. to level the scores. Otherwise a good game.
A's 3-1 win to the Beach. The game in the first half was an end to end affair. Criag M for Beach scored to go 1-0 at half time. Beach scored the second after great lead up work form John M & well finished by Danny N. Vista never stopped coming at the beach & were unlucky with a couple of raids to the beach goal with no succes. However they did score to take the score to 2-1 & momentum was with them. With about 15 min to go Jeff scored an absolute cracker to finiah the game at 3-1.
All 3 games were played in good spirits.

So what happens now to the A game. If the game was abandoned after puma fans invaded pitch, surely gully gets the default win- doesn't the invading team get punished?topcorner wrote:Gully vs Pumas

A's: Pontians 3 - Raptors 0
Paradiso 2, Karapetis 1
Great team performance from the Eagles today. Raptors ran all day but really were no match for the Pontians. Great effort from all the lads on the park especially Kosmidis, Karapetis, Petropoulos and Shuffle Stama.
Not a bad effort from a team of has beens and wanna be's
B's: Pontians 2 - Raptors 1
Malavindi 1, Rodi 1
A very hard fought game by both sides today. Very even first half (0-0) Pontians took assendancy in the seconday half with two goals and all the play. Raptors to their credit fought back and pulled a goal back. Good coaching to throw a couple of players forward by the raptors coach which the Pontians failed to deal with well. Raptors also made a couple of clangers infront of goal which cost them in the end. Much better team than their position on the ladder indicates
Great hospitality by the Raptors club... much appreciated
look forward to the return match

B Team - Ingle Farm 2 Para Hills West 0
C Team - Para Hills West 3 Ingle Farm 1
D Team - Ingle Farm 5 Adelaide Vikings 1
Well done to the Farm first team, who went down to ten men after 5 mins, then a goal down to come back to 2-1 in the second half - terrific performance - 10 absolute heros for the home team today

Downs 5 - Fulham 1
Great effort by the boys who more than matched the Downs.
Downs went 1 up at about the 20min mark through a Reeves header but after that Fulham showed great character when it would have been easier to roll over and get pumped and I think it would be fair to say defintely had the better of the 2nd half posession wise and chances to score - Downs were defintely rattled.
Unfortunately if you dont score you cant get a result.
Game played in good spirits.

wasn't just invading , was also assault and attempted assault. would be very, very disappointed if pumas got points. Yes they were the better side and it was late in the game but unless the league come down on clubs who's supporters can't control their emotions then if your teams leading get your supporters to run on and collect the points. Dont know how similar the situation was compared to early season div 2 game abandonment but would be very dissapointed if didnt go to replay minimum..

Agreed mate, fair call and well played to the beach linesman who flagged for a free kick on the edge of the box, too many of them decisions are blinkered by home linesmen, top sport.

Our finishing let us down big time today, shame because it would have made an interesting 2nd half if we could've put at least 1 of our chances away in a dominant 1st half.
Played in good spirits, cheers to the beachboys.

sorry Robin but I think Pumas will get the points - depends on referee although even with photographice evidence I think you have a lost causerobinfriday10 wrote:wasn't just invading , was also assault and attempted assault. would be very, very disappointed if pumas got points. if they were the better side, late on and 2 nil up I can't believe they just invaded the pitch to get the points!
Something must've sparked it

I was at the game, logically it would be the gully getting the points because it was home team supporters that ran onto the pitch, i still dont understand why on earth u would want to run onto the pitch when everything was under control but thats another story, home team always gets punished for pitch invasions and from where i was standing the ref would have seen a pumas supporter running onto the pitch first, so thats how i saw it, pumas were cruising so it makes it worse for them, and understandably their players were upset at the supporters that ran onto the pitchKnight7 wrote:sorry Robin but I think Pumas will get the points - depends on referee although even with photographice evidence I think you have a lost causerobinfriday10 wrote:wasn't just invading , was also assault and attempted assault. would be very, very disappointed if pumas got points. what sparked it was that there was a scuffle with one of the pumas players and their brother ran out to support his brother, thing is it was under control, so no need to run out, maybe emotions got better of him and to some point i understand what he did, but the situation wasnt that bad for someone to run out there, once he ran out about 30 gully supporters ran out and it was on, i wouldnt call it a minor scuffle, it was more like a brawl, put it this way, pumas should have won no doubt, but the invasion was unecessary, could have been avoided quite easilycarra23 wrote:What started it RF?robinfriday10 wrote:wasn't just invading , was also assault and attempted assault. would be very, very disappointed if pumas got points. Attempted assualt. Thats funny because a member of the Pumas committe was tryign to break up the players and found a GULLY player tackling a supporter until the supporter yelled out "I'm with you" and he picked the supporter up and then another GULLY player grabbed him and pulled him to the ground. There supporters got attacked by there players . Dont blame it all on us we may have had supporters run on the pitch we tryed to break it up but when the gullys supporters ran on the pitch the assualt ( I doubt it) unless a supporter got assualted by one of there own team.
