Campbelltown u/16

Post by campbelltown_7 »

Campbelltown u/16s should finish 2nd or 3rd this year, with campbelltown to play blue eagles this week they could be within 2 points of second place if they can muster a win.

IMO campbelltown are pretty much assured a 3rd spot finish as modbury are not much of a threat; they were lucky to get away with the one all draw at campbelltown. It is just comes down to wednesday nights game against blue eagles. If campbelltown win, game on for second place. if they lose or draw, they will have to settle for third.

na im not bias ive seen every team in the league play and i beleive that campbelltown are definatly one of the best sides. The game tomoro should assure peoples veiw of where campbelltown compare to Adelaide city and blue eagles. I predict a 2-1 victory for campbelltown.

haha forts.
its going to be a tight game tomorrow night, but i feel that campbelltown have the edge coming off a string of impressive results and after blue eagles lost their most important match of the season.

it sure does

campbelltown absolutely destroyed eagles in the first half. they hardly had a sniff. campbelltown went into the half-time break 1-0 up

second half was a more even affair with both teams having their chances. im not sure why everyone is talking up blue eagles so much, from what i saw they were very shaky, especially at the back. blue eagles scored on the break to make it 1-1. campbelltown were unlcuky to not go 2-0 up right at the end when a shot was saved off the line. a lucky cross drifted to the back post about 3 mins from time and was lofted into the back of the net.

The result was quite unfair as campbelltown played a better game overall. a 1-1 draw would have done justice to both sides. however i feel that campbelltown were unlucky in the end not to come away with a win.

all in all, blue eagles are a bit overrated.

Partenopeo is spot on with this one. Blue Eagles were very lucky to come away with a win at the end. In the first half Campbelltown were unlucky not to have netted at least 3 when they were in total domination of the game. The second half was more even but Blue Eagles were able to get the better of a few lucky breaks.

Blue Eagles looked shaky most of the match and were very fortunate to come away with the 3 points.

Unlucky to Campbelltown tonight I heard from a player they didnt deserve to lose unluck in the end I suppose. What can you do know not much, instead you can still walk out there with your heads held high knowing you played well despite the scoreline.

i wasnt there but i gather from the following that campbelltown were REALY UNLUCKY ( suprisingly the refs performance wsnt mentioned)

campbelltown posts included:

its in the bag ccsc
campbelltown absolutely destroyed eagles in the first half.
The result was quite unfair
Blue Eagles were very lucky
Blue Eagles looked shaky
Unlucky to Campbelltown tonight
total domination of the game

with any luck, less domination and more fairness campbelltown will be in with good shot to win next time around. go the devils.

I wasn't there either but the facts as I heard them are:
(i) Campbelltown totally dominated the first half but did not create sufficiently clear cut chances to convert
(ii) Campbelltown's goal was a fortunate rebound from the crossbar
(iii) Blue Eagles missed a goal from a yard out in the second half
(iv) Campbelltown had a ball cleared off the line in the second half
(v) Blue Eagles missed 4 one-on-one chances in the second half
(vi) Refeering apparently was awful having incorrectly called some obvious simple decisions

Is this not the facts?

To all the under 16s just wanna say good game on wednesday. Good competiton, with some good passages of play. Keep up the good intensity for the game on sunday against adelaide hills.

PS- great goal from campbelltown not just a lucky rebound

Saw the game most of them true
i) TRUE, hit the crossbar twice
ii) FALSE, I wouldn't say fortunate a good shot, with a good follow up.
iii) TRUE, it was around the 6 yard box from where I was standing
iv) FALSE, they missed 2 one-on-one
vi) TRUE, Refeering was terrible, few bad mistakes

Overall the game was more entertaining than the Adelaide city vs ABE match, ABE are clearly the better side. Campbelltown played well but were just beaten by a side with more class.

At least the season is still close, the next AC v ABE match should decide who will win the championship

im gonna have to disagree with that. ABE are not cleary the better side and do not have more class than campbelltown. they are evenly matched teams and on this particular night, campbelltown played better and were unlucky not to come away with a win or at least a draw.

Forget True / False statements. Fact : ABE 2 CCSC 1. Too bad that luck was against CCSC but remember good sides will always punish your errors. AC for league and cup titles.

cambeltown..may come around 4th or 3rd if lucky and 1-1 draw with modbury was a crap game for modbury and was on cambeltowns ground....
modbury easely whipped then off the pitch with a 5-1 win! cleary no comparison there!
adelaide city on the other hand may be top yet are way over rated and were lucky in games to come ahead from other teams!

Modbury beat campbelltown 5-2, this was the game after campbelltown lost 2 players through injury and suspension. I was at the game, it was 3-2 in the last 15 mins modbury's way, and then an own goal and a keeper mistake occured and cost campbelltown the game. If Campbelltown didn't lose there players they would have been 3rd possibly second by a MILE!!!!!!

obviously u were at the wrong game as modbury dominated cambeltown easely and their goals were simple tap ins and mistakes from the back line
