I have to agree about the sturt marion keeper. He is very good.Going to have to be for the rest of the year to keep them up in div 1.

As for players i would think stirling would have a few candidates...Goldstone,Gallagher,Barnhurst,Hayes and then you would have Tasovac from Wanderers. The lad from Gleeson is not bad either but dont think i would class him as one of the best..IMO

Not quite sure how someone in his mid 20's who won Saturday player of the year last season is a bit past it.

He hasn't had a good run with injury/illness this year but he's still easily one of the best amateur players going around.

dont rate the guy, refs love him and in a side like that he takes alot of attention away from the rest of the team

personally the lad on the left wing from last year to me had more talent

only an opinion though mate :D

Fair enough if you don't rate him that's your opinion but he's certainly not past it.

The winger your referring is a very good player no doubt, a shame he's not playing this year.

i play with the sturt marion keeper (Scott) and he is one of the best i have seen in training he is evan better than in games. I have played with a few professional keepers back home in scotland and he is just as good

The best keeper in Div Sat 1 by far is the Adelaide Gryphons keeper Nick Gountaras

Sorry gala cant agree with you but thats what forums are about, granted Sturts keeper is the best opposition keeper we've come up against but our own keeper(Jets) for me is the best in the league.

As for the best players, as a player two of the best players i have come up against in our league over the last 2 years are Vickery(St Peters), Holding(Stirling)

2 guys from the gryphons would be right up there with best in the league:

little guy in the middle of the park wears no 6, peter i think has impressed me he is always around the ball and the refs

and the big tough guy at the back with the short hair, number 4! he is a tank the guys calves are massive! He doesnt get beaten in tackles

good player but not up there with there best, seemed to die in the second half when we played him,

and the keeper seemed to have a shocker that game as well.

might have been the gryphons boys dont like playing in the rain :D

I actually thought about this last night and I have to agree with Gabon their goalkeeper Reid??? I think, was very impressive against us.

In regards to Scuba, you from Gleeson? If so Nick was not in goals that day. Due to work commitments Nick has played six of the eight games for us this year and he has conceded 2 goals.

Holding is a very good player.

Nah if anyone is the best at gryphons, its gotta be that super quick kid Galios. He's great in the air, lightning fast and very skillful. You can tell this kid has got talent. I dont know why the hell he's wasting his time in amateurs for when he can definately play at a higher level.
