In the second half Blue eagles player incredibly lucky not to get sent off with a 2 footed studs up tackle on a player. Blue Eagles had a couple of chances put could't score.
City broke the dead lock with about 10 minutes to go with a nicely taken shot and were unlucky not to double there lead with few chances.
City were too good on the night and deserved the win
The tackle in my mind was a good challenge the Blue Eagles player had won the ball first the only reason he got booked is because the coaching staff down at City take things too far as what i call premadonnas. Get over yourself City why can't you guys just play soccer. He got booked aswell because his trailing leg caught the player from behind thats all. It was studs up but he won the ball and the City player made it look at bit more reckless than it was.

You obviously agree that the tackle was studs up and therefore the Blue Eagles player was very lucky not to get sent off.
I think its Blue Eagles who should concentrate on just playing good entertaining football and not resort to dirty tactics as they did especially in the second half.
City was far too strong and more skillful than ABE and they should consider themselves lucky to only concede one goal.
Looks like ABE will end up being the bridesmaid again for the second year in a row.

I am saying it ws studs up but it wasn't that reckless that it had to be a send off. The City player as i said was made it look like more than it was. Adel City will win the 16's league i totally agree with that. But it will be interesting to see how the second leg between these two teams will go.

leeds4eva isn't bullshitting. As of one the players from the City team and one who played close by to the one who was knocked, i can say that he didn't have a clue what was going on in that second half. He basically forgot everything that happened in that half after the game. I reported it to the coach, and appropriate measures were taken, he was brought to hospital.

I saw the game, City are clearly the best, they were in control of the game from the start. They will not lose a game this season, they will win the championship and the cup easily, no one can challenge them there just to good, simple as that.

I don't play.

I'm well over the age limit for 16s

I'm a neutral supporter and I have seen Adelaide City 16s team play and they are clearly the best team in the competition, I would even say in all junior divisions. They are much better than some of the 17A teams.

wel city were lucky not have scored more than the 1, in my opinion. did ne 1 see that goal??? how would u rate it???

blu eagles had only 1 decent chance, which still went considerably wide,
city still hvnt won the league yet, gotta play ABE again in 2 weeks time, that will be a crucial game....

Seems like it was a great game Friday night, worthy to be played at AC Park.Well done to the teams and officials of Adelaide City. Hope the AC boys get more chances to play at this Venue during the season. They surely deserve it.

blue eagles vs city

Post by campbelltown_7 »

I think overall Adelaide city are a better side, blue eagles are now 3 points off top spot and now within reach of Campbelltown. The game on wednesday 13th june should be a ripper, if campbelltown can win they may be able to over take eagles if they keep winning
