good to see no one has mentioned shwar thankfully, epl chech is going well. rest of the world would be buffon and boruc. dont know how people can rate reina swear he is a vampire at times, van der sar way past use by date like kahn, and robinson who has had the worst season.
most of the keepers mentioned are good shot stoppers and penalty savers but there is more to goalkeepers than just those 2 things

some good names thrown around....
besides the obvious (Cech, Buffon, Casillas etc...)...
there are quality keepers all over the top leagues...
Jaaskelainen, Lehmann, Robinson, Amelia, Caesar, Mirante (Siena), Canizarez is still good on his day....
but if you go back a few years there was a LEGEND...
MR GIANLUCA PAGLIUCA....wouldve been better for him to have a final good year with ascoli but he's still class!!

An italian regardless, pick 1 from about 4 the italians since dino zoff always had the best keepers in the world on a consistant basisadriano10 wrote:Who do people rate as the best between the sticks???
Personally, I've always had 2 faves...i'm a massive Petr Cech fan, i think he's that good it's a joke - his agility and shot-stopping are purely awesome...
then there's Gigi Buffon - his agility and athleticism in goal and around the box is unbelievable...

good laugh is our Wayne..........
In your opinion how does Mark Schwarzer compare in the rankings? I noticed nobody has rated him so far. Is he that bad or are all the others that good?

Blue is the color, football is the game.
2006/2007 EPL runner up
2006/2007 Champions League Semi-Finalist
2006/2007 FA Cup winners
2006/2007 League Cup winners
and still considered 2006/2007 to be an un-successful season

Akinfeev will be the worlds best in a few years.
Debut for club at 17, debut for Russia at 18, won a Uefa Cup at 19, played in the WC at 20. Still only 21. Vice-captain of CSKA and first choice for Russia.
Anyone who saw any of CSKA (particularly vs Arsenal) will know straight away. Went 5 games without conceeding a goal in this years CL.
