Fair call Alma. You guys looked really good in the first 20 minutes but the rain changed the game a bit. You guys could of scored another goal in the first half but I think we were the better team. Playing up the hill takes so much out of you, fitness plays a big part on our pitch.alm01 wrote:never said we were the better team on the day. and didn't believe we should of won but you guys did not score 5 by half time and only scored 3 for the match leaving a difference of two minus the offside hence soccer is a fickle game..you should know more than anyone if every team said if we took our chances we would of been so many up.. the better team on the day doesn't always win and every soccer fan knows that good and well..whether fit or not..
Depsite the one decision the Robbo got wrong, it was a good game played in good spirits. Nothing dirty, just two teams going in hard.
Good to see a few guys that I played with still kicking around there also.

WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO KID MATE OUR MIDFIELD WAS HARDER AT THE BALL AND KNOW WHEN TO RELEASE IT ( WHAT DANCING ON THE BALL UNTIL IS TAKEN FROM YOU IS CLASSY) ONE OF OUR MIDFIELDERS SCORED THE SECOND GOAL. AS FOR OUR DEFENCE, IT IS SOLID ( YOUR RIGHT) THIS GAME IS ALL ABOUT TAKING YOUR CHANCES. WE TOOK OURS!Ace wrote:Knight 7 you're a joke mate! We absolutely killed you yesterday, if it wasn't for your packed defence and our lack of finishing you would have lost at least 6-0.Knight7 wrote:I hope your alone, we hit underside of crossbar twice, couldn't believe we didn't wrap the game up earlierdrmandm wrote:bitterly dissapointed today with the result from raptors vs knights.
I felt we did deserve something from todays game. I hope I'm not the only one who is experiencing this particular frustration........young fella in goals for the b's is looking good for me!
Two crossbars eh?? One was from a long hopeful (crap) ball from the halfway line into the box that fell to someone on an accute angle.... the second was a good chance.
Other than those two, we let u have two chances (both of which were Raptors errors) and u scored both.
Raptors had ALL OF THE PLAY (and if you disagree with that u have no idea!) and countless chances. Ur midfield was NON-EXISTANT, the only thing that kept u in the game was a solid defence. Our midfield and strikers were stronger, classier, more skilfull.... u guys are just hackers!
Steve Maxwell even said to us after that the game deserved to be a draw (which i think is still ridiculous), and the difference was our shaky defence.... so don't come on here trying to convince people u were the better team, coz Raptors shot themselves in the foot yesterday, and the Knights were just the lucky team that reaped the benefits!!!

honesty is the best policy. as for going straight back down, we have money this time, money means everything in football (you're a gully man should know all about that) just kiddin mate, really though goodluck this week, just watched a tape of gardens v east from the weekend, battery cut out last ten but good football played. their new signing of an old face was average but could be dangerous with a bit of fitness. man mark aitken, dont underrate him.

Sublime move of the day was bringing robbie williams back on the wing for first team, best game i've seen him play. Think he'll cause some problems for the downs this weekend[/quote]
Agreed massively, we all know what Robbie can do and over 1.5 years he's been here, we've seen glimpses however his whole 90 minutes were inspirational to everyone. Think if he keeps his head when he comes up against the downs, most definitely will cause trouble, especially with his pace. Great work Robbie!!!!

Bigpond didnt play Sunday, which is why he hasnt posted on here, Para Hills West clearly outplayed Fulham, and deserved their win, but in Bigponds defence they where on the end of of some bizarre refereeing decisions on the weekend, not that it would have changed the game, at 3-0 down a Fulham player made a run into the box, and was clearly fouled by the defender, and as he fell scuffed his shot, and the ref declared it as advantage instead of awarding the penalty. The ref that officiated the game, was well below standard and was extremely inconsistent with his decisions, even though he was being assessed by Jim Johnson what ever that means as no doubt he'll just potentially ruin a different game next weekend. Sancillo hit the post from a free kick just before half time and missed a chance from half a yard which was un-characteristic from a player with his ability, so doubt there will be excuses from Bigpond, as it was a game where they made some opportunities but where clearly outplayed by a Westies team, that finally got a deserved result.Football_lad wrote:Just realised i hadnt heard from fishpond this week? Well his only other options was to give the ball to Peds. So I think he took the better option of kicking it into the car park.Ronnie#10 wrote:Robbie is a good player no doubt about it. Just remind him though not to boot the ball into the Vista carpark cos there is no options in the box like he did last season.

The peds options only worked on dead ball situations......good to see you out watching the game on the weekend wacker....been a while since you've entered the forumNo left foot wrote:Well his only other options was to give the ball to Peds. Gary Aitken is an awesome player. No team is likely to underestimate his ability as his reputation proceeds him. However, why would you man mark a marker? He plays as a stopper, it is his job each week to nullify the opposition's best striker. It would look pretty funny if robinfriday got one of his boys to sit up front and follow Gaz who was in turn following Derek Simpson around. Have you ever played the game mackem?

thanks for that little comment there chestnut, glad to see we're on the same side??? PLEB. maybe i should spend the next few weeks working on my diving and screaming to enhance my playing ability then?? as for aitken from what i saw he did a fair bit of wandering and every time he had the ball he had too much time to faff about with it with gardens not shutting him down quikly enough, players with that much ability shouldnt be left with that much time on the ball, i'll lend you the tape if you'd like a watch.....

and while we're getting smart derek plays on the left wing, gullies have a hand full of other quality strikers without playing him upfront. by man marking him i meant that he should get one of his strikers to sit on the last man all day, that would be gazz..... make sense yet??

hey you guys leave peds out of this, remember he was the top goal scorer last year and one of my closest friends he really admired me as a coach. full respectpa .No left foot wrote:Well his only other options was to give the ball to Peds. That is a bit harsh on Peds. He is a decent player, and he means well even if sometimes he rubs people up the wrong way.Ronnie#10 wrote:Fair call no left foot is that u Pwacker?
Peds was Vistas shining light though last year. Thats what he thinks anyways.
Top goal scorer yes, but I know I couldn't play upfront with him thats for sure haha

underestimate aitken?? i played with gaz for 15 years straight, i think i know a little bit about jesus aitken!! living with him 4 18 months really enlightened me also!!
does derek play on the left wing??
i thought aitken was a stopper not a sweeper, that'd be last man i think??
i'm lost i think!! too much talk about aitken makes me want to get out the bob marley and have a quiet session with him and tangles

i watched the east game on the weekend and im sure you DIDNT robin, just letting you know that he had alot of time on the ball and he shouldnt have. dont give me that "does derek play on the left" shite. ive seen three of your games this season and two of them he has clearly been playing as a left winger. i was wishing you luck for the game this week but i hope east smash you now, i watch plenty of amateur football these days so dont talk to me like im a child.

derek has played on the left infrequently this year, not talking to you like a child but maybe the 2 games you said you saw him were the only time he's played there. most lefties spend time stuck on the wing , some can be more useful. what if we don't play with wingers?ever seen delboy on the right?? aitken always has time.. i put him in my state squad. what new would it be if vista boys didnt want us to get smashed?? or bring up the cash !! what amateur football are u watching this week??
Sorry Star Stud, not sure where you coming in regard to my Excuses, they are no excuses, I am not from Fulham, I am from PHW, and stated my team clearly outplayed them, however in their defence actual decisions went against Fulham where dodgey, not saying some against us werent either. Just saying Bigpond would have valid reasons to feel disappointed by the refereeing on the weekend.star stud wrote:Hey Mr X the only fact in your statement was that " you were clearly outplayed " you did however forget to add by the better team on the day! As for your "EXCUSES" do you honestly believe that you are the only team to have had a ref who made some quote 'bizarre decisions' on the weekend.
What club are you from Star Stud?
True Peds was a decent player he did finish leading goalscorer so he obviously did something right. I guess he did rub a few people up the wrong way hay.avenell_road wrote:That is a bit harsh on Peds.
