Re: Rangers v Celtic
Well, I didn't see that coming. Rangers shellacked Celtic in every aspect of the game.
I watched it until goal 3 and expected to wake up another goal or 2 to the bad. Rangers deserved to win 5:0 at least.
but we are still 11 points up and +24 goal difference better.

This seems like a repeat of the last time they beat us 3-0 at Ibrox when it didn't matter as Celtic had already won the league.eagleboy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 9:38 amWell, I didn't see that coming. Rangers shellacked Celtic in every aspect of the game.

Regardless, by all reports Celtic were shambolic and Rangers dominated throughout. Have seen this before from Rangers but thought Celtic would be more aware of the threat. Sure, in the grand scheme of things Celtic should still stroll the League but Rodgers will be livid with how poorly they performed.
A few words may explain the result- such as hunger, determination, motivation etc. Rangers showed it in abundance and Celtic looked like they were going through the motions. Rodgers knows how to win against Rangers when it really matters- one wonders if it will have any ramifications in the league race as the season unfolds.
I think not as I expect Celtic to take the wake up call as required. As for Clement and Rangers, credit is due for a solid performance but you have to question where the hunger, determination, motivation was when they underperformed against many of the 'less-fancied' teams?
Clement has bought himself some time with this result but it will be borrowed time only if they fail to win the Scottish Cup.
As for Celtic- expect them to delve in to the transfer market and sign a couple of decent players.

Re: Rangers v Celtic
I'm genuinely happy that teams like Dundee can give Celtic and Rangers a game now and again- then again most teams at home can give Rangers a game!
As for my team- I expect them to get stronger during this transfer window and securing the services of Kieran Tierney would be an excellent signing. Strange that Arsenal are giving him some game time at last- perhaps they hope he plays well and some other club is willing to take a punt on him and pay some hard cash before his contract expires.
According to most reports the smart money is on Tierney returning to Celtic and it always helps if the player is a supporter of the club (not to mention his willingness to take a hefty pay cut). Nothing is ever set in stone until the deal is done.

Aberdeen started off so well but they've dropped off.
