Come on Del. What's 2+2?
Truth hurts i guess.
4 happy to have schooled you.
Finally. Well done Del, have a gold star for your sticker chart.

When have you ever schooled me?
Too many times to count. I know you have trouble with counting though so youd struggle with any number given to you.
Let's start with 1. Give me just 1 example.
You first
Classic Del.

It is not possible to give you an example of you "schooling me" as it has never happened.

So you can't give an example either. Another easy win for me.

The fact that there will soon be 2 x Australia squads (T20 and test) shows the ACB already need their heads read. Money is first consideration, not improvement or nurturing of test cricket.
You have a point with Zampa, BUT stats only seem to be a consideration when selectors try and justify a selection when its in their favour to do so. Other times (for example) blokes make plenty of runs but they aren't considered.
We all know that there are favorites in the ranks.
Leave out Zampa, save him for ODI and T20, but please consider Swepson as Lyon is past his best. Give him his 400th and then see ya later.

Agreed. Fair bowler, and 30 average shows that. We have a bunch of oldies that are standing in the way of the next gen that need grounding. Home tests v Pakistan and West Indies are the time to start looking.

No one to replace him just yet, unless I am missing someone. Same would apply to others in the team, that is, no stand outs to just walk in, apart from a couple quick bowlers.

Lyons last 100 wickets @ 25 ... so his form has been a lot better ... Todd Murphy is earmarked as the next spinner in the ranks ...and Mitchell Swepson is still hovering around ..

^ Not that I don't rate Lyon or dislike him. That effort to go out and bat on one leg in england was phenomenal! I still think that its best to go out whilst on top rather than risk fading out and staying around too long and thus stifle the selectors to push for the next gen of players.
Warne could have played on, for example, but chose to opt out when we was still mesmerising batsmen.

Lyon feels he is still at the top of his game and the injury suffered in England has probably helped...We know it helped England as he left when Australia was 2-0 up in the series.

Warne probably had too many distractions at the time of his retirement.

Agree, the test squad is aging but like we have seen many times , a new bunch will come through and maintain the benchmark of being a successful nation in cricket.

What doesn't help is having a 20/20 domestic tournament when the Test Series is also starting. Players like Scott Boland & Lance Morris are stuck in limbo ... But we know the prostituted form of the game 20/20 is what takes prioity now

Should be a great series with the 2 best test cricket nations going head to head. Of course I want Australia to win but I think it will be a drawn series.
