Japan v. Straya 🇦🇺 9pm Tuesday 15 Oct 2024
How bad is this? This Country’s World Cup Qualifier can’t be viewed by the majority of the population on an evening when there’s bugger all other live sport on because it’s hidden away on some pay-for-view platform. And it’s not as if people can wander down to their local pub to watch on a giant screen over a few beers. The AFL/NRL loving fools managing those pubs wouldn’t sense a ratings/customer-attracting occasion if they tripped over it.
Our Soccer-Football authorities should be ashamed of themselves to allow this to happen. Federal Governments of both political persuasions should be disgraced with themselves for allowing this to happen.
Channel 10 should be embarrassed by not doing a deal with the idiots at Paramount+ and at least have the game on one of its digital secondary channels. Did the suits in charge @ Ch10 not learn anything from the fools at Ch7 who sleep-walked into the home Women’s World Cup which got record viewership? You know, the mugs @ Ch7 who eventually realised we better take this to our main Channel and get 11.5 million viewers for the Semi-Final against England .

Re: Japan v. Straya 🇦🇺 9pm Tuesday 15 Oct 2024
I was going to go with my son and friends to a local pub to watch the game this evening on a giant screen.
But 9 pubs in eastern Adelaide confirmed after a ring-around that they don’t have Paramount+.
Some of them didn’t even know their Country is playing this evening (Tuesday 15 October) in Japan !
So we’ll squeeze into my lounge because I have got bloody Paramount+. But it’s sad for the general majority of the Aussie population who won’t be able to watch. Football Australia has a lot to answer for signing that effing contract.

It is pathetic. My Paramount quality was just ok. The camera work was wanting.ozzie owl wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 10:11 pmP+ pathetic coverage again , 3 years and still 4th rate picture quality .Con M wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 8:05 pm I was going to go with my son and friends to a local pub to watch the game this evening on a giant screen.

On the result a 1:1 draw in Japan is great.

Yeah, lots of buffering. I had to switch to my phone for the last critical 5 minutes, but it was just as bad. Regards the 1-1 draw, we”ll take that, especially after Japan had 70% possession.ozzie owl wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 10:11 pmP+ pathetic coverage again , 3 years and still 4th rate picture quality .Con M wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 8:05 pm I was going to go with my son and friends to a local pub to watch the game this evening on a giant screen.

Goody will be missed on the 14th of November, at home in Melbourne against the Saudis. A bit unlucky to get a yellow card as soon as he came on.

Not sure with 5 mins to go to bring on Goody one yellow card from suspension . He copped a yellow now we will miss him for crucial home game v Saudi Arabia.Con M wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 11:35 pmYeah, lots of buffering. Re: Japan v. Straya 🇦🇺 9pm Tuesday 15 Oct 2024
Massive difference I believe. So many channels out there for each comp is crazy. Optus, Kayo, BeIn., etc.
The old days when Fox had it all as a package were great.
I have Paramount through my daughter. I wouldn't pay 2 bob for it if not for free. It does have occasional good sports on it.My Fox will do for the moment, but they are slowly losing it for me.
Re: Japan v. Straya 🇦🇺 9pm Tuesday 15 Oct 2024
My local pub has indicated Paramount+ has just The Socceroos, The Matildas and The A league to offer. They don't have enough request from their customers to justify the purchase of the subscription.
