Adelaide Cobras' Josh Smith Having a Tough Time in the Solomon Islands

Post by dsriggs »

Smith was appointed the Solomon Islands manager this September for their World Cup qualifying campaign.

His first qualifying game was a home fixture yesterday against Fiji, which the Solomon Islands lost 0-1, despite Fiji dropping to 10 men for over an hour. There was some controversy due to Smith leaving a promising 20-year-old named Paul Francis on the bench. To say that Francis' club, Real Kakamora FC, was upset would be an understatement.
