Heard that a club lost 3 points for playing a suspended player!Looks like the Federation is getting tough. Can anybody confirm this or knows which club is involved?

Not sure which club is involved but this has been a rule in the amatuer league for as long as ive been playing. Sometimes it takes the league to catch on but once they do you can guarantee they'll take points away.

On a similar vein, what happens if a player is suspended this week but the game is called off.
In other words are you banned for a time period or games.
Again, if a player was sent off for the reserves but the A's were still in the cup would next week count as a game as well.

What happens if the ref forgets his yellow card and shows me a banana instead.
Can I a-peel?
Sorry, but I thought I would ask an almost as stupid question as Hawksy.

You are banned for games. We had a player sent off on the Sunday before the cup round, our Wednesday cup round was forfeited and he therefore had to sit out the following Sunday.

I think the answer to your questions would be:
1. Banned for a number of games not a time period.
2. Would have to serve the suspension at a time when the reserves are playing, unless of course the player is already cup tied to the first team.

Yeah sorry Hawkesy its a game ban not a specified time period. You would have to serve your suspension next game.
Avenell road is spot on aswell with part 2.

Not a stupid question at all. In Amateur football in England you are banned for a number of weeks and not games.

If they are placed on the report, then they count. However, most club refs don't put them in.

Depends if the club refs put the reports through to the league at the end of the game like Hawksey said.
Most refs dont put them through which is good so it means if you get send off you'll more than likely play the next week which is good.

I have an amateur league suspension form sitting in front of me and it states:
Penalty Incurred: 1 Match
Suspension from: 27/05/2007 to 04/06/2007
If the game on that weekend is called off, which is it? One match or in between those dates?

It looks to me like 1 match from the day after the offence till the day after the next scheduled match. If that match is not played, for whatever reason,it carries over to the next official match!

Daffyd dont try and defend that IDIOTS actions, what do you expect to get from players that are being being called fu@%en idiots and so on all game, let me say though we were outplayed by the Grove and we DONT have a problem with there players the game was played in good spirit till that WANKA ruined it, i wonder if he will try that against BOSNA next time you play them
